  1. I think all wood , soft or otherwise has a similar calorific value per weight . E.G 1kg of hawthorn will have a similar value as 1kg of larch its just you need more larch logs to make up that 1kg .

If you can afford Aspen 2 you can buy it by the pallet load .
  3. Cracking games all three of them . We came good in the last 20 . Away win !
  4. Yep I remember when it came out . I still had a 200t then and tried it on that . In fact I only use full chiz on everything . I like the Stihl chain and have been using it on my Huskys on and off over the years when I can get it in .058" . Mostely from U.S.
  5. Ah yes . The rolled top plate edge . Thank you When you said " bottom right " that cutter never showed up on my screen . If I drag the pic across its there . Doh .
  6. That worked for you as well then ?
  7. Running away with your kit .
  8. Nice one Bud ! How does he seem ? Non the worse I hope . (If she had not bought him you might not have him back )
  9. Didn't work for Tony Martin even though he was burgled countless times .
  10. I can see they are different but they both look full chisel ( pointed working corner ) one is square ground and the other round ground . Neither are semi chisel ( rounded cutting working corner ) .
  11. Both still look like F/Ch to me .
  12. Its up there with fruit tree pruning ...a black art !
  13. Square ground chisel can be filed with a round file and then it will become round ground chisel . Both are full chisel neither are semi chisel . Both the full chisel will have a point for the working edge . I disagree with the thing about semi chisel staying sharp longer than full chisel . If a chain is dull , its dull . Just me . Oh if you do decide to sharpen square ground chisel with the square edged files the correct way is the opposite to a round file . You file from the point inward were as with a round file you file from the inner edge outward .
  14. Great effort under difficult circumstances this year Steve . Well done mate .
  15. Its just that you were saying that you thought light had nothing to do with it . You are most likely right .
  16. Did not see the fight but saw the news clip . Bellew looked like the looser from the look of his face ! So , fair platy to him . Not how I thought it would go either .
  17. Sorry Eggs mate . What about a new Spaniel pup to occupy your self ?
  18. Out side chance its Field Maple but the bark is not quite right .
  19. I wanted to say Hornbeam coz its kinda traditional on here but for me its definitely ash .
  20. Surely the 4th is the 3rd taken from the other direction ?
  21. Pretty much agree with this . Watched Tony Bellew kOs and they are all labored and protracted were as David Hay clumps em and they touch down . I think Bellew is a good fighter in as much as he does not let up but he seems a bit disconnected and random . If hay is in the condition he says he is in its got to be Hay . We will see ......
  22. If it is a malfunction I expect there will be others breaking the sound barrier and creating the doppler shift !
