  1. If you like to lean on the saw then use the 7pin to make use of the torque .If you let the saw do the work and dont lean on it heavily then use the 8pin for the extra chain speed .
  2. Looks like the end of throttle cable .

    See post # 23 .......
  4. Either . Still I think are slightly harder but not a lot in it . I only use full chisel though .
  5. Obviously the thinner chain will spin round but as soon as you work it in wood it will tend to " flop " over one side or the other causing extra ware to the bar rails . I have done it before but its not ideal .

Ok . What ever you are running I would recommend the Sugihara Light weight pro bars . All my saw now have them . I have tried all sorts over the years .
  7. Do you mean incorrect pruning cuts ?
  8. Maybe a flip line as well ?

Are you running the original .325 or have you converted to 3/8ths ?
  10. Yes I do . I rate well . Initially I thought it was less powerful than the Stihl BG 85/6 that it is like but it actually has more puff just quieter !
  11. Iv done the flint thing ( being in Sussex its inevitable ) . A few Victorian nails in the center of a 3ft dia trunk . Big mess when I hit a can of Dulux White Gloss with the mulching blade of my brush cutter !
  12. I thought for a moment you were a politician but yep right at the end you did say you were from Essex

Have a look at the old " Lets see your guns " thread .............You might find some more like minded folk .
  14. I think it only if your spaniel has an accident with the chainsaw whilst in pursuit of game
  15. I will be entitled to my OAP next January . I have enough arb waste to last me untill I am at least 70 .....
  16. All good . Not as good looking as those geezers
  17. I thought the same . The new buds push tje old leaves out , especially in a hedge for some reason .
  18. I like you guys . Just saying . ( had a drinkiepoos )
  19. Wish I was still close to 50
  20. To be honest I prefer the 545RX over the 355RX purely on the weight / maneuverability aspect . I think if you get a new 545 and do a bit of periodic maintenance and watch your fuel age ( or use Aspen ) you will be good matey .
