  1. A Dean Smith and Grace monster lathe would accommodate it between running centers but that is serious engineering territory .
  2. True but Husqvarna are , I think , committed to this route ...
  3. It does look like screw driver access in the pics but I bet it wont end up like that when it goes to production coz of emission regs . It is after all a per production prototype ......
  4. The Burley I have has an actual notch on the door catch for having it open a critical amount when heating the flue .
  5. Have had 2 X 394 . Super saw . I very much doubt you would find one with any life left in now though ...
  6. A dull chain is a dull chain whether its square ground , round ground or semi . ......
  7. No , actually I also wanted his daughter phased in around 2022 but alas he would not budge .........
  8. I saw a skeleton with cob webs hanging off him once . His head was drooped and he had a throw line dandling, looked a bit fed up .
  9. I wanted million pounds for my Husqvarna 3120 on a 50" canon bar but I got £760 . Was happy with that !

He is referring ( I think ) to me repeatedly wittering on about the clutch needle bearing failure due to / oval powermate / resulting in oval crank end / terminating in un economic repair stuff with these saws .......................and that ........
  12. The flue is cold and the air flow is in the wrong direction . This is possibly compounded by not enough height on the stack . You try to heat the flue with paper etc which would normally work but the shorter stack works against you . As others have said my be worth adding some height to the stack . I dont know if the " flue cube " thing is bollox or not but I have heard it helps . ( I have no connection whats so ever with flue cube and have never tried one )
  13. Very slick bud ! Nice work . Your " mountain ash " is different to ours ( Rowen ) Yours is a Gum/Eucalyptus type ?
  14. There is a thing call " the flu cube " Don't know if its a gimmick or not . Not had to try anything as my flu has good draw but have heard others having success with it . Might be worth a look .
  15. Understood . I still have a 2011 560 that I sent off to petemate on here for sorting a few weeks after I bought it . Still going strong . Had problems from new with a new carb and other niggles . As soon as I got it back from petemate been faultless its. Had one new primer bulb and that's it .
  16. Horse logging ? As per avatar ,,,,,,,
  17. There is nothing to stop you from porting a new A/T saw ........
  18. There is no part No , sorry . but...whats the point , it will be better if you either fit 372 covers or grind yous out . Why would you want to return it to a less efficient form ? ( he politely asked )
  19. Sadly no Steve . Essex I believe , Epping Forrest way ? My comment was just acknowledging the potential gift of some prime porky worky in terms of fire wood , delivered as well !
