  1. I did the same on my D22 and it passed all MOT s .In fact it passed one last month according to the bloke I sold it to . It smelled like a diesel though .
  2. In the days of the old 15amp round pin plug the cookers were wired with the old " twin and earth " 3 core behind a ceramic guard over the terminal block .

  4. If I could afford it I would get a Rivian pick up truck . I could put up with the " Buck Rogers " front for the 900hp , shed loads of torque and independent electric motor at each wheel , all the storage space , 0 - 60 in a nano second and ....no DPF ?
  5. On my Navara It says if the DPF light comes on to drive at 50mph or more till it goes out . not had to do it though .

  7. My old Navara D22 specified every 6K . My D40 says every 12K but for the reasons stated above I still stick to 6K + filter .
  8. I have always found compression to be enough . Make sure the de comp button is out . An aluminum or copper drift on one of the clutch arms and a stiff whack with a No 5 copper and hide mallet . LH thread remember . Should be little direction of rotation for " off " arrows cast on to the clutch to remind you .

  13. I have the Navara tekna 65 plate . The DPF light has never come on and I do mostly short trips . About once a fortnight I might take my daughter to Midhurst , about 18 miles round trip and the odd trip to DM Chainsaws in Walberton ( similar distance ) .
  14. I could well be wrong here but I don't think there is a " law " that states you can't buy a top handle without a ticket ( you would not be able to buy second hand on Ebay etc if there was ) but some manufactures / out lets recommend that a ticket be shown .

  16. Fender electric guitar bodies are almost all made from Alder since they ran out of swamp Ash back in the sixties .
  17. ANSI ( American national standards institute ) 12mm bolt has an 18mm across the flats head . What the pitch or thread angle is I don't know .
  18. If you ever worked in a " trade shop " tool makers that would be all you ever used .
  19. Anyone leaving it on the floor , well its up to them indoors . Anyone leaving it on the ground in a bag is a twat . Its better off not in a bag . Slugs and beetles etc etc deal with it eventually . Preserving it in a bag is stupid .
