  1. My Burly heats the whole house . We leave all the internal doors open and it heats upstairs pretty well . The central heating goes off within 15 mins of the stove being alight with the stat set at 19degrees .
  2. Yes . They are designed to keep a higher temp in the fire box and burn all the gases off the wood . It may take a few more minutes to feel the heat from a modern stove but once its up there it stays there longer .
  3. Back in the 70s I had a Parkray hopper fed stove that had a thermostatic valve that you describe . It also heated the hot water and 5 rads so not that new .
  4. The vermiculite board in my Burley is 25mm thick All the panels fit into a recess so are flush . The door glass is also double glased to help keep the fire box temp up .
  5. The profile looks similar to any other back handle saw I would say . Brake handle looks a bit flimsy from the photo .
  6. This sounds more feasible . All what I said was from memory and written on hear in the past . Never had a 261 myself .
  7. £62 billion up to £102 billion . That's 2 rope working for you ..........
  8. No . More like a game of " pick a sticks " but with trees .
  9. I think the plastic cage failed because of some manufacturing error making something oval , the crank or the drum not sure which . I think the fix was to loose the floating rim and put a welded star sprocket and drum on .
  10. Six am -3 out side . Just geed up the stove ?
  11. Obviously they will go to heaven . ?
  12. Did you do a neck roll when you typed that ? ?
  13. Your brother is tacking the piss , surely ? ?
  14. 2 options . Hang yourself from the nearest beam or buy a Husqvarna 550 MK2 . ?
  15. I have always called it wind blown . Think its according to were you come from . To be honest I don't give a fuck , we all know what is meant .
  16. What are the edgers ? Are they Ash ? If so will they need winching back in ? don't sell your self cheap . I am in West Sussex but I am nearly dead so won't be of much use ?

Thats a good list . I would not worry about " knackered points " though ?
  19. The feeling I get , and it has not really been stated one way or the other , is that the client wants the tree reduced because it shading his house/garden ? and he is not concerned about the railway ....possibly. I could be wrong .
  20. You metal detector dudes used to drive me bonkers when I was a keeper . No sooner was the barley cut and they were out on the stubble in droves . There I am trying to keep partridge on the ground . Grrrrrrrr !
