    Spear Cut

    I have used it on a very few occasions . The hung up tree was very vertical still , and space was tight . just kept slicing . Each time it would drop still vertical until it was my height . It was only ever going to be fire wood . The out come was fine .
  3. To be honest its a loose/loose thing . You could put an electric fence round it then get done coz the trespasser got a shock . The only way to make sure no one climbs on your stack and gets injured is to not have a stack .

  15. River bank is a clue as often its willows and alder . If it turned red on the cut face soon after felling then that is another clue , and it looks like alder ..
