  1. This morning at about 06:15 I went into the field with my spaniel hoping to meet my mate Dave with his lab . Both dogs wear flashing collars as its still pitch black . Dave was out before me this morning . When Grouse ( the lab ) spotted mine she came barreling toward us . Usually she would miss me by a few inches but this morning she hit me square on , right on the outside edge of my metal knee . The pain was intense and shot down my leg into my ankle . She poleaxed be like a skittle . Just back from A+E . Luckily no bones broken but extensive soft tissue damage . Non weight bearing at the moment . Don't you just love life ! ?
  2. Oil rig . Long swim for job and knock ?
  3. You could bash your bishop for abit , just to relieve the boredom ! ?
  4. See , hand cutters are paid for what they know , which transposes into what they do ......
  5. You try telling the youth of today , they won't believe you ?
  6. This has nothing to do with working cockers ! ?
  7. Yep . I remember reading it , Matty it was !
  8. Andy me old mucker . Most of the time I am on your side , and I respect your views , politically and to do with oil extraction , This is not about how many blokes were trained up or retained . Believe me bud , if you have spent your formative years learning how to perfect your trade ( hand cutting ) you would want to be on piece rate . If you are good at something all the while your body lets you , you want to maximize your potential . Its the way it is bud . ?
  9. I remember that observation by Joe and found it interesting . Torsional cracks like the above are quite common in Cedars around abouts . Joe could well be right .
  10. If the same difference applies as on the MK2 550 then by all accounts I would wait .
  11. Only happy to help matey , you know me ?
  12. Eggs mate . It only works in Sussex so no good to you bud . ?
  13. Cut to length and stacked ? or just dropped were they are .
  14. You should have a " star wheel " dresser or better still a diamond on a stick .
  15. It will go off like concrete , get it split soon ?
  16. Not to take anything away from him , but I think pretty much all of 30/31 is common sense . I passed it years ago having used a saw for several years I admit but no formal training . This by the way is also a " bump " for the lad ! ? Sounds like a very useful chap .
  17. Oh. I just assumed you went in and hand cut every 7th row to create the rack prior to Jack going in with the harvester .
  18. As it seems fairly flat there V.I. did you cut the racks every 7th ?
  19. I think The Village Idiot has an Exeter as well . It might crop up in his current thread about managing an ancient woodland . ( a great thread by the way ) or give him a P.M.
