  1. Bright with a bitter wind john . West Sussex.
  2. Thank you for all your hard work Steve . hope it goes smoothly bud .
  3. When I had my warranty stuff done I did not have to pay a penny . Don't know if there weas amny postage charge but if there was my dealer must have covered it .
  4. Hodge , man that is bad news . My customer service is top banana from my dealer ( D M chainsaws Walberton west Sussex ) and any thing over the top is sent to spud . ( I must confess I don't use the chain break , I am an old git and never been in the habit ) They don't make em like they did but tjhen they were less powerful and less chuckable back then . I guess there is a bit of a trade off .
  5. O.K. It will be worth it . Both my 372 and 390 have the high top filters . They will be going to spud for porting when I can find a gap in work and Spud has a gap in his hectic scheduled . I have a 346 that spud has ported and and it is in a totally different league to the standard saw . So yes it is worth it if you get it done by some one who knows there stuff . Spud does . end off .
  6. Bin it . The time and effort required , not to mention kit needed to repair it , makes it a rite off in my book . You could bne working and earning , just get a new one .
  7. He dines out mostly . I did not realize we had a mouse problem untill we got him 4 years ago . Our back garden looks like the Somme from 1914 ! He won't starve .

Hi . I have a 545RX and my bud has the bigger one 555 I think . Personally I prefer the 545 as it has shed loads of power and is noticeably lighter than the 50cc one . It will run 4mm dia "diamond edge " line no problem .
  9. Nice one bud . Onward and upward !
  10. I want to die any old way as long as its quick and then come back as my cat . The life of Riley he has . not a care in the world .
  11. If you do get one always use the decomp button to start it otherwise you will eventually clap out the pull start . Remember the ignition is always in the ON position . When you switch off it resets to on . I had trouible with mine in the early days . was sorted with an updated carb and a hotter spark plug all done under warranty . No problems since . I think it is a stonking saw . Best 60cc saw I have had .
  12. I use a 560 with an 18" full chiz. standaed 7 pin . Tried an 8 pin which was ok on a 15" bar but when I used the 8pin on the 18" bar the auto tune got all confused . Since had it tuned by "petemate" so its well fast enough on the 7 pin.
  13. "A" Plant possibly ? On the old Ford airdrome site . We normally call in "Stump Busters " and let them do it .
  14. Very much depends on how much you are willing to spend , what size bar you need etc etc . Usually ( but not always ) the more you spend the better saw you will have . A good quality pro saw if maintained should last you a life time doing the work you describe . I am a Husqvarna man myself soooo a good condition well maintained second hand Husky 365 would be a good bet . You could run 13" to 24" bars ok . Bomproof saw .
  15. Got them on my 390 ( which is the same ) jonsie got them for me but they will have to come from the U.S. whatever . So you could ask a husky dealer or go direct yourself , say on ebay from Randy Duncan . Been a post recently about iot .
  16. Every morning I wake up with crusty "eye bogies" like grit were the saw dust has found its way into the corners of my eyes .
  17. Kin bastards . What can you say ? Don't give up .
  18. I watched it this year and the bit that I admire is when the understated John Mc said " I'm no one special; , I'm just a brickie who can ride a bike " Love it .
  19. I used to use a combi can but find it simpler to use the oil strait from the 5ltr can . the combi can always fell over in the truck and the top came off , made right old mess . I know its more to carry but hey ...
  20. I put a small stove into my 18" fire place and it was not as hot as the open fire . So I went back to the open fire for a year or so . I have since opened up the aperture to 33" wide by 31" tall and fitted a Burley Hollywell . Now we are cooking ! You need to do the calculation for room volume against KW required . Measure the ht x wdth x lgth and enter them in one of the many automatic calculators on the net and it will tell what kw stove you need . My mate has got one thats too big . you need to stand in the garden when its on full chat ! So its importent to get it somewhere near right .
  21. Get the most expensive / desirable one then sell and get a Husky.
