  1. O.K. this is getting a bit of boring now I know but just to update anyone who is having trouble sleeping I have another 560, used, that was sent from Sweeden also a 2011 saw ! as a loaner / later changed to " if you don't get any trouble with that one just keep it " saw. We shall see - - - - - :
  2. Excelent point , well made Steve ! I shall withdraw into my shell !
  3. Did you mean the crank bearings ( left and right ) or did you mean the big end bearing in the con rod ?
  4. for permits read prevents . lost the moment now !

  8. Don't know is the honest answer but if its someones house in a residetial are we start a 8.00 am . In the woods its 7.30 am .
  9. Just my opinion but I don't think you can get a better job than with a new file . I it needs grinding then it probably needs bining !
  10. Think they are the same a Stretch Air . My mate would not ware anything else a few years back . Supposed to be the billy bollox . Expensive .
  11. It seems its a Sarp number also !
  12. no idea ! May be it is an Oregon chain or --- Carlton or husqvarna or daa de daa de daa ! Not staying in any more on a day like this . Send him to his dealer and sort it . Going out with my spaniel ! Laters
  13. And pitch . check info on bar .
  14. On a 391 ? woud not have thought so . I am a husky man myself but I would have thought a 391 would be a 325 pitch 3/16 or more likely .375 pitch 7/32 file ? ? ?
  15. OK Felix . To be honest its so long ago I can't remember . I just give the rakers a couple of strokes after 2 or 3 sharpen ups .
  16. I would go for the hand held file that is clamped in to a filing plate . The size of file and its corresponding plate will depend on the pitch of chain . on that saw probably .325 or .375 (3/8) The filing plate will have all the angles marked on it so its pretty simple once you have done a few . You will need a flat file to take the depth guages down after , say every 3 sharpenings . If you don't do this the chain will eventually rub and not cut as the depth gauges will be too high and not allow the cutter into the wood. I could be wrong here but I think the 25 refers to the height of the depth gauges in relation to the highest point of a cutter ie .025" lower than the cutter to allow it to bite into the wood . This depth gauge figure , I think , is only stamped on Stihl chains but I could be wrong . ( so long ago ! )
  17. Agree with all of that , not sure he needs the lathe though !
  18. Hi . You could spend money and get a survey but I think any sensible tree officer would see the potential danger and grant you the go ahead . Cost of replanting - minimal . Cost of rebuilding house Max !
  19. Hi Steve . I can do a nice cup of tea !
  20. If the stop switch is wired correctly then it must be a fault in the coil me thinks . Spud will know .
  21. Nope not yet . It had a new 2012 carb fitted and that cured the hot start problem but not the cutting out under load . Took it back today and not heard anything more yet . Will ring again tomorrow .
