  1. This is what I do with my 560 . Think it should be the same . Cold start is choke out decomp in 2-3 pumps on primer pull til it coughs . choke off decomp in again pull and it starts . reve to take off half throttle . Hot start one push of primer bulb and pull and it starts . Remember the ignition is always on . It resets to on as soon as you have switched off . If you are doing all this and it won't run it may be the auto tune paying up but you can't set the auto tune if you can't get it to run so take it in to your dealer . Oh the other thing it might be is if its been run on aspen and then on normal mix and then on aspen again it could have stiffened the carb rubber components .. may be .

    You did well there !
  3. To understand and appreciate the futility of what they are doing they need to have a reasonable amount of intelligence ... .... alas .......

I have one . Forget about the vacuum / shredder bit . Not worth the effort . As a blower in is superb . Take away all the curly pipes and the little shredder blades in the air intake and its the same as a BG85 . ( you can leave the little blades on ) . If you want a leaf vac you should be looking at a Billy Goat or similar . Thumbs up as a blower though .
  6. The Husky is pants . the Stihl has been doing a top job for ages now . get the Stihl then trade / sell it when the new Husky T540 is selling ...........
  7. Also it reminds me of the days we used to run our bikes on Castrol R 40 . It was a vegetable based racing oil . Fantastic smell .
  8. I tried aspen . It was in a saw that came back from husky after some warranty work (560) and I loved it . Just can't afford it that all . Wish I could .
  9. This is what you should do --- send it to spud .

    Blower advise

If you can get the older type BG 85 or 86 get it . They are better than the new shape ones (as stated on this thread ) bg 85 is blower onluy , 86 is blower with little mulching blades in the intake . other than that they are the same if all you want is a blower . As a vacuum they are pants . you are looking at a billie goat if you want a vac but this is about blowers . As i said before I am a Husky saw man but always use a Stihl bg 85 . and can't fault it . Husqvarna did do a copy of it with a straiter air flow but I have never tried it because here is nothing wrong with both our bg 85s so can't comment .

  15. Can't help too much here but was the water clean or foul ? In other words was it storm water or sewage / contaminated in any way . ? This could affect your chances of saving them
