  1. I hear Cameron's gardener uses an Echo.
  2. It's also heavy and underpowered compared to the 550xp
  3. They're not waterproof either. They really let the rain in. Pretty breathable though
  4. Sorry. There are red bits too.
  5. They're better than the butterfly. I can confirm the stories of green you've heard are true.
  6. I do. Then again I've never lost a knife fight. "They pull a knife, you pull a gun. They send one of ours to the hospital, we send one of theirs to the morgue."
  7. Well I've got better chances there than getting one here!
  8. Passed out from exhaustion was the last one I let slide. I won't be so soft next time mind...
  9. It goes full circle mate, before long it'll start to kill you again, no matter how good you are!
  10. Happens everywhere. I rarely hoover or wash up, but when I do I expect a blowie for it.
  11. Definitely. I do a bit every now and then when I have to set an example and it nigh on kills me. Don't let them see me cry though! I wonder perhaps if as competent climbers we find it easier to climb as that's what we do, so we're conditioned for it and have found ways to make life easier and more efficient. I'm currently training a new guy to climb. He makes ground work look easy but climbing look like very hard work.
  12. It's only hope is in longevity. For £250 I'd be wanting 5 years out of it.
  13. They never had a problem understanding the naughty words
  14. Two years in Belgium and another two in Paris. My pronunciation wasn't the problem. I'd always try and speak French where I could, because it's only right when I'm living in their country. It was more that if they could speak English better than I could speak French they couldn't be bothered to let me try.
  15. Whenever I've tried speaking French to a French person I've got as far as once sentence before being sneered at at replied to in very condescending English
  16. Bugger me. I get the mick taken out of my harness! All I got is a pinto redirect and a crab/prussik on mine.
  17. Here we go again...
  18. Y'know those panels slide right out right?
  19. I knew it. I don't even thing "the inboard clutch" is a thing, just a euphemism for making knuckle babies!
  20. I'd ask again just to be sure, Jon
  21. If it wasn't knotweed something else would likely have triggered it. Must have been a tragically unstable bloke.
  22. I reckon they're probably both good saws, each with there strengths and weaknesses. It that viewpoint too sensible and boring?
  23. Yup, there's more simpletons out there than Stihl have accounted for
