  1. Bend them back. Just don't do it with a hammer while your foot is still in there like I've seen!
  2. You laughing at me? It's cold here FFS!
  3. :sneaky:
  4. "Darling" works too. At least, they drag away from you faster. Ain't so quick coming back mind.
  5. So what would you call someone you pay to drag brash from point a to point b?
  6. Nope, it's a troll who's got the fun stuff on the internet out of the way and is now looking for a reaction. Don't sweat it.
  7. I've found that when you're cursed with a tiny wang you have little choice but to be funny.
  8. Haha you pair of bitches! Actually i'm a fairly hardworking climber earning less than that, but I' employed. Still, I'm not about to take abuse from a pair or 2 stroke sniffing northerners!
  9. , so, just to get this straight, how much does your climber earn a day?
  10. I'd be a half arsed climber at best for £100-£120
  11. What's Darrin doing in your house mate? Is it serious?
  12. You'll be fine. Only eejits fail their 30/31. Just revise the criteria, you know the rest.
  13. That's the trouble nowadays. Nobody willing to make sacrifices on behalf of the forum!
  14. Steady on, the G-man used to be a top climber! Perhaps you didn't know.
  15. Pencil pushing office jockeys. Sod that. Don't prove that they add no extra protection, because I suppose they do. State that they increase the likelihood of an accident due to lack of dexterity and or grip. You gotta think like them. They don't care either way. They are covering their arses. If you do the hard work for them and justify not using them, they should be okay.
  16. Fair enough. Have your employers ever used a saw? Tell them to piss off and let you do your job.
  17. Get some cord, they'll show you how to tie your own loop. Much cheaper believe me. You'll probably start on a 13mm line. Most people like 9mm Marlow Boa for a prussik on that line.
  18. Would you wear it if it wasn't shiny Wayne? Fwiw I find Arbortec make quality products. @OP: I don't wear saw gloves, never have, nobody I know does either. AFAIK climbers are exempt in the tree. Ground workers "should" wear them, but most don't. As long as you justify it in the risk assessment (which we all do before pruning Mrs Jones' plum tree) then all is good.
  19. You talking climbing or groundwork?
  20. Nice one. Just priced up 2 large rings, it's more expensive than a pulley block!
  21. Nice one, what dia. Tenex is it? Did you manage a locking brummel both ends, or one locking and one non locking? How do you mean? It's not a whoopie splice.
  22. Balls to that. Pics or it didn't happen!
  23. Nice pics John, looked like fun. Where'd you get the double beast sling from? Couldn't find it on treestuff. Mind me asking how much it cost?
