  1. It goes full circle mate, before long it'll start to kill you again, no matter how good you are!
  2. Happens everywhere. I rarely hoover or wash up, but when I do I expect a blowie for it.
  3. Definitely. I do a bit every now and then when I have to set an example and it nigh on kills me. Don't let them see me cry though! I wonder perhaps if as competent climbers we find it easier to climb as that's what we do, so we're conditioned for it and have found ways to make life easier and more efficient. I'm currently training a new guy to climb. He makes ground work look easy but climbing look like very hard work.
  4. It's only hope is in longevity. For £250 I'd be wanting 5 years out of it.
  5. They never had a problem understanding the naughty words
  6. Two years in Belgium and another two in Paris. My pronunciation wasn't the problem. I'd always try and speak French where I could, because it's only right when I'm living in their country. It was more that if they could speak English better than I could speak French they couldn't be bothered to let me try.
  7. Whenever I've tried speaking French to a French person I've got as far as once sentence before being sneered at at replied to in very condescending English
  8. Bugger me. I get the mick taken out of my harness! All I got is a pinto redirect and a crab/prussik on mine.
  9. Y'know those panels slide right out right?
  10. I knew it. I don't even thing "the inboard clutch" is a thing, just a euphemism for making knuckle babies!
  11. If it wasn't knotweed something else would likely have triggered it. Must have been a tragically unstable bloke.
  12. I reckon they're probably both good saws, each with there strengths and weaknesses. It that viewpoint too sensible and boring?
  13. Yup, there's more simpletons out there than Stihl have accounted for
  14. The only problem I've ever had or seen was solely down to the operator. The screw caps are a pain, being over tightened or threading.
  15. Go on http://www.chainsawbars.co.uk Everything you need from videos to sharpening kit. It's run by RobD on here. Sound bloke, very helpful.
  16. Wish more of our clients were this gullible, instead of quibbling over a £70 hedge trim!
  17. Fair point. I'd still say start as you mean to go on though. Send a shame to use a chain that's effectively blunt out of the box!
  18. Best way to learn. Get the best out of your saw, don't dig it, and sharpen well.
  19. Should be a .325 as standard. Worth getting full chisel if it doesn't already. Semi chisel is for soft poofs.
  20. I'd love to see you in the bottom corner doing sign language and audio description for that!
  21. Perhaps all of us gear ponces were just using a prussik wrong?
