  1. I ring the bell and say "all done" while leering at their chest/crotch (depending on gender). Most just want to get me out of there ASAP.
  2. The melted chain brake is typical of having the saw dogged in to timber, so the gas cannot exit forward and is essentially deflected by the wood back at the brake handle.
  3. There you go Wayne, you can shut up about it now... ...until they arrive and the colour don't match the boot
  4. Nice cutting on the stems. Buy yourself a dozen Lyon tape slings and cheap steel screw gate krabs. Won't break the bank and makes speedlining jobs much more efficient. The more you use that system the more efficient you'll get at it. With practice it's easy to pull back branches round with the speed line. Good work.
  5. If that was meant as a pub it was awful!
  6. Fair enough, but you get a free pair of boots chucked in...
  7. God help me but him above is right here. As far as small homeowner type saws Stihl are far more user friendly. I started with an MS211. Still got it. Pulls a 14" bar well enough if you're just starting on smaller stuff. A tool is only as good as the care you give it, so keep it sharp and clean. Use good fuel and 2 stroke. Let the saw cut for you. Don't force it. Regarding training, the user manual has a pretty comprehensive basic starter guide. That with common sense and ppe should do you fine.
  8. Too bloody right. I skewered my palm on a steak knife because someone put it in the wash bowl facing up. Really messed up my favourite pastime.
  9. Jesus Wayne, I'm sure they'll be good boots. You're telling me the only reason you bought them was for a pair of socks?! Ya tight sod!
  10. You're either wearing it wrong or you have an abnormality most men wouldn't complain about.
  11. From what I've read probably the Echo 620. The husky 560 seems the most popular 60cc saw at the moment, but the 361 was a torquey saw with smooth power, not a screaming madman.
  12. They're too warm most of the time, good first thing in the morning though. Takes forever to dry out.
  13. Anyone clicked on to the fact the owner had absolutely no obligation to get the tree pruned? If the neighbour wants it cut away, they can foot the bill.
  14. Just got called out to our yard for the alarm. Was stalking about in the dark with an axe. Think a broom fell over in the lockup
  15. Sorry to hear that Ben, you're not far from me. I don't have much of my own but if I can help in any way I'd be glad to.
  16. What saws are you running them on and what type of chain? I'll be looking forward to your findings.
  17. You used them yet Steve? If they do a decent full chisel range it'll be great.
  18. I hear Cameron's gardener uses an Echo.
  19. It's also heavy and underpowered compared to the 550xp
  20. They're not waterproof either. They really let the rain in. Pretty breathable though
  21. Sorry. There are red bits too.
  22. They're better than the butterfly. I can confirm the stories of green you've heard are true.
