    Norway

My wife arrived in Oslo about 30 minutes after i heard about it and i was scared for her life, she is now in Trondheim with her friend so my heart is beating normal now. RIP to all the victims and my thoughts go out to their families.
  2. If you think that then just delete it, like i said it wasnt my intention for it to come across that way. As for the media well thats another problem altogether and one that i cant do anything about except never buy a news paper ever again, which i have not done for many years now for exactly this type of reason. I dont care about what celeb is doing what to another celeb, or what big brother or the likes is getting up to, these things are of no importance to me and are written for the brainwashed public of whom i dont want to be one. If ever the media starts to concentrate on real life and put celeb news in a little corner on page 5 or something then i may buy a paper or 2 again but this will never happen. This will never happen because people are more interested in a drunken singer than someone that is laying his life on the line to save the lives of thousands he has never even met. That to me is worth being told about and why i started this thread.
  3. Its no argument, and you wanting to delete it is proving it to be a touchy subject. I am fed up with the media concentrating only on the people IN the media. To me this soldier has as much right if not more, to have his story heard than a singer. This is my opinion and i put it out to be heard, if i come across as being cold hearted then it is not my intention. I never branded her as a junkie, that was done well before this thread and by many other people. Not calling her by her first name was a mistake and for that i am sorry.
  4. thats why i started a new thread
  5. Just wanting to voice my opinion on something that is in my mind not right. Lately we have been hearing constantly about winehouse dying, ok its sad and a waste of talent but she wasted it herself. This on the other hand is almost unheard of... Afghanistan: Corporal Mark Anthony Palin, UK Soldier Killed In A Blast, Leaves Behind Pregnant Wife | UK News | Sky News This for me is just not right. i would rather be hearing about this hero than a junkie singer who has done nothing for any of us. Please give your comments... RIP Corporal Mark Anthony Palin my thoughts are with his family.
  6. Gerrit you really are "the man"
  7. Ok stevie i understand why you took it out but it wasnt really slating her was it? i was just bringing into view what i think should be more important. as Janey says "The untimely loss of ANY life is a tragedy, regardless of the circumstances." i was just letting you all know of another unheard of death that to me has more significance to us all. Corporal Mark Anthony Palin to me has more right to be recognised and is not. RIP to both
  8. please read my previous post
  9. in post 41 the 4th picture, is that a horizontal crack in the tree? was it there already before the fungus took hold or was it made by the fungus? looks like there was some more brackets there that have fallen off. No reason for asking, just curious:001_rolleyes:
  10. Arbtalk.co.uk | Discussion Forum for Arborists - Announcements in Forum : Trading Place Maybe a link would have been better
  11. Thats cos it no longer exists:001_tt2: have a look at the top of the threads and you will see
  12. I do hope its a take down cos thats a real crappy pruning job:lol:
  13. The man has spoken once again:thumbup: 99.9% sure its the chicken crap being your problem:thumbup1:
  14. well said:thumbup1: not so long ago i needed to use the tail of my rope to make a second (long) strop so i tied a bowline with a long tail and with the tail tied a blakes for the friction hitch. Had to do that many times and is very helpful.

  16. anyone tried this site... stereomood ? emotional internet radio - music for my mood and activities I am normally in funky mood:thumbup1:
  17. nice one dean your now found on a google search saying your not good enough Note to self, be VERY careful what you write in arbtalk:001_rolleyes:
  18. Bonkers Stephen does have a point though, its not as simple as it sounds. Free labour is always very tempting for someone but he has to also dedicate his time to looking after you and therefore getting less production. I hope you find someone to take you on, i know how difficult it must be for someone starting out in the business. Good luck
  19. Beat me to it
  20. What no pictures yet? come on guys get your carving bars out, i wanna see:001_rolleyes: I would join in but found my artistic flair to be a bit non existent and any mushroom i have tried to do turned out looking like something else if you know what i mean:blushing: Needless to say my friend has a huge bell end in his garden that i was very happy to leave onsite and still rooted into the ground
  21. Sounds like theft to me. Like Hama says timber is left on site to become dead wood habitat for a whole host of living organisms and you just stole their house to torch it.
  22. Yea you can have the boot bag if i win, I mean whats it for? I personally couldnt walk with my boots in a bag:001_rolleyes: I will never win anyway cos i never win anything:thumbdown:
  23. Normally i would say get yourself up the tree girl, BUT given that i have no idea what a fall in a harness may do to your insides or a slip and a bad slam into a branch then i would have to say get yourself up the tree girl, BUT no branch walking or any other fancy stuff just keep it simple and safe. Maybe just straight pulls up into the crown and back down again just to prepare yourself for when its time to do it for real. Go with what you feel is right and you will be good:thumbup1:
