  10. Very true J but what can be done? its a catch 22 really. Our system does not work and never will because it is easier for them to get and do what they want in prison. A guy who was in prison once said to me, and i quote "that was a doddle, its like going on holiday haha. You can get any drugs you want, use the gym and get fit for fighting on a saturday nights hehe!" Does that sound like what prison should be? He also told me that he has no fear of going back. He has subsequently been back a few times since then and is still fighting and beating people up on whatever nights he feels like. To me prison should be a little cell with a mattress and a bog. Nothing else except maybe a hook on the roof and a coil of rope in the corner just in case they want to save us some time and money on the bread. Call me old fashioned but to me that would put people off doing it again, it certainly would put me off. The problem is population, we are so many. I mean this world over, we have bad people and good people but the more people there is then the more of each we get. crime rates rise because population rises. Same as almost everything. Space and jobs are becoming rarer the more population there is so people turn to crime to get the cash they need for whatever. Cultural differences and where you stay are all big factors on how you will turn out. Its almost impossible in my eyes to solve this problem but the fact remains that people kill other people and do other nasty things because they are evil to the core, and at the moment all we do is send them to a "holiday camp"
  11. what would the one strike be? killing another innocent person? Good idea making use of them for clearing mines though:thumbup1: as for the cost of execution then that just seems to me they are not doing it right if it costs that much. The murderer in the first place certainly wouldnt have spent that kind of money taking someones life.
  12. Tommer i have not been to prison but i know people who have and they are still the same waste of space they were before, if not even more so. I come from a rough place where violence is the norm and no amount of being nice to them works, in fact its worse than ever and partly the reason why i dont stay there anymore and will never go back. Scum should be treated like scum and not given any rights at all IMO and the worst ones should be taken out of society for good. Its our money that is feeding them and giving them all the mod cons. Some even come out of prison better criminals! Its all very well for people to shout human rights and we should be helping them to become better people but until you live amongst them and know exactly what kind of people they actually are then you have no right to say anything from your lovely sheltered existence. To the very few criminals that do change their ways then i salute you but the majority are mindless scum and are better off the streets on bread and water and swimming in their own mess. My rant is over, time to be a happy person again until some scumbag spoils it.
  13. You think the holiday camps we have as prisons are like this? you are seriously mistaken my friend. They have 3 square meals a day, tv, play stations and all sorts of rights. I say bring on the death penalty and save the tax payer a heap of cash making their unworthy lives as pleasant as possible. Obviously it has to be done carefully and without doubt that the person is guilty as charged. Honestly our prison system is a joke, take a look at pensioners in care homes for example, the prisoners are treated better than those poor souls.
