  1. As already said most bars will bend along way before breaking, how did it happen. Looks a fairly new bar.
  2. Have you tried to drive one of them skid avant. Tried it once that was enough.
  3. So start a bit of woodland thinning on a 5 year plan. Plan is to stack wood to be sold as cord wood and removed in the summer across neighbouring field. But would it be more profitable to just fell and drag out whole and stack and Bio mass the lot.
  4. Went to do an emergency job this morning for a customer I haven't done anything for a while. He said he nada root barriers put along tennis court, if this is what we are up against we have no chance. Membran sticking out of ground and not back filled properly.
  5. That's one reason I don't use insurance recovery, and the problem my parents had once with a recovery company sent by insurance company how could not load land rover discovery on to lorry as didn't have right size shackle to go through eye, I soon sorted that when I get to them and chucked the recovery driver the right size. My work is local and know someone with tractor and low loader and he would probably get to me quicker then them. Or just pull tool kit and fix of possible.
  6. If anyone looking for one agri - linc have one agriaffaires.co.uk WWW.AGRIAFFAIRES.CO.UK
  7. Ask yourself how you can legally fell the tree in question without getting written permission from owner. Also you would have to trespass to remove it.
  8. Not bad one of my trucks went up by £15, but the other reduced by £350. Will be ring insurance company next week to find out if they over charged last year.
  9. If they are making enough profit on what they are selling, why try and change. If they want more trade get a nice girl to work there.
  10. Did see something funny before Christmas, was working near building site how had road closed for a week connecting to main drain. They had it coned and signed off, cars came up and turned around. While on a tea break popped out on to road to have a look and three cyclist went by me and didn't even slow up through work site loads of shouting from workmen and they carried on regardless, then 6 more came by me 2 lads work in road spotted them and quickly pulled heras fencing across road, you should of heard the shouting then. But the first 2 came back looking for others then all hell let loss until digger driver got out of cab he must of been 6ft 6 and 20 stone with just a couple of words the turned around and went. Have had many run ins to many to mention would be typing all night.
  11. Digger size is down to access, small digger of course lacks lift capacity but will all ways lift more than any lad can or even two. It is down to operator on machine that makes it all work, if they have never moved brash it's interesting watch them make a mess.

Didn't know such a thing was available, been trying to think of away of slowing rotator when I fit grab to digger. Which is on a 6 way diverter and didn't want to slow grab down with restricting main supply.
  13. Why I asked is I have had fun welding steel cut from old heating oil tanks as it gets in to it.
  14. What did you cut patch out of new or old steel.
  15. Home - Lynx Engineering for all your tractor implementsLynx Engineering LYNX-ENGINEERING.CO.UK Get more from your tractor with implements and accessories from Lynx Engineering to fit any make...
  16. Christ when we're you born. 😂
  17. Surely tongs will get bent at some point when tree lands.
  18. Thatch not cheap. Could you not use bamboo screen stuff cut short and put on in layers. Or just Cedar shingle it.
  19. Update, got it back together put a set of jump leads on it turned it over with plug leads off to get a bit of oil up and about, put some fuel in it and replaced plug leads pulled choke out turned key after a couple of turns away it went. Not bad considering that engine has sat for just over 5 years and local dealer said parts were obsolete, but just on the off chance looking on ebay found an oil pump and got a timing belt from bearings place. So rather then a pile of scrap I got an engine.
  20. Years in the trade, but you can still get it a little wrong once in a while.
  21. Just seen a reporter on TV standing out in it, he must be off his head.
  22. Yes from breather on rocker cover, bought it second hand a year or two ago and is 8 years old in total. So I have decided to put new engine on it as got no idea of history, will probably pull head off and look at condition of it. Got a shock when I message Unipower and they said could not get Honda engine till April.
  23. Thanks for that, getting one through local dealer and they rate Lifan a good engine. If something goes wrong, peace of mind they are local and not moles away.
  24. That must be some machine.
  25. Worked with lads that have done all the collage and tickets, showed most of them how to do things easier and better. Even when I did a ticket years ago told the instructor how to do one part easier.
