  1. That is were tracked machine comes into it own. But why in a wood do you need to chip stuff just leave in habitat piles. But if you need one go big.
  2. Do you need a tracked chipper. I was going to buy one a few years ago but decided to buy small loader to tow chipper into job, also moves a lot of timber in no time to chipper,
  3. Traps are best once set work 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year. Just check them twice a day.
  4. Exactly why I have full height tail boards. How often is it o just chuck a couple more bits on.

  7. Check lift pipe in fuel tank, may have slight crack, when going up hill fuel will pull on pipe and open it up, once you fill it crack is in fuel so no air is sucked in.

  9. Fuel filter, my old 18/100 which had a kohler engine, played up change in line fuel filter which still made no difference, anyway unbolted fuel tank on top of engine and found another filter. Any know if the early Honda had hidden filter.

  13. Surprised you had problems with Milwaukee, as a mate of mine bought one to do rivets on some kennels he built, he must of put 5000 through it with no problems.

  15. Also domestic/ household hedges need cutting certain times of the year, where as agriculture /countryside hedges are broadleaf and best cut winter.
  16. Did get the heart going a bit, but it was later in the day it hit me how lucky I had been.
  17. To get in with loader I had driven under that side to get around to other side.
  18. The plan was to reduce canopy that was left after 2 limbs had drop by 50% to retain tree, this was going to be done in a couple of weeks.

  20. Went on Thursday to cut up 2 limbs which had fallen off Oak tree, popped back this morning to move large lumps with loader, and rest of crown decided to fall out and I was only 10 feet from it. No wind just decided it had had enough.
  21. I bought a pair of cutter gloves a couple of weeks ago, used them the other day when hedge cutting and it made a big difference only problem was had yellow hands when I took them off. Also I have had a job finding them in xl and they are still a bit tight.

My work experience was the first time the introduce it, was meant to be doing butchery at local supermarket but when I got there with a group of about 10 they switched us all around I landed up in garden centre area with another lad how lasted only till first break and never came back. The last week I was there the bloke how was ment to be looking after me went on holiday and was then left to do what I had done in the first week with just the odd other person working there coming to find me and ask how I was going on, loved it.
  23. If you want to move 5 to 8 ton digger you need a trailer for the job, if you can move timber as well makes it more useful.
  24. Was it red or white diesel, makes a lot of difference if you working domestic or commercial to HMRC.
