  1. Had a bit of a walk about and got more pictures, first picture is only a part of a shelter belt which is about 300m that is affected. There is no signs of dark lesions. I was wrong saying Leylandi where affected they are not.
  2. If you hire regular from a company and take it back clean you may get a good deal, there's a tree company ran for years in my area that use ply sides on transits, they run one with out ply sides for logs but if a truck is out of action just switch ply sides to that one.
  3. Sit full bags on pallets makes moving them about easy and keep them of the floor.
  4. There is no way its road salt as road never gets salted. Will get more pictures tomorrow if I remember it so a big area woodland area has it right to back behind houses.

  10. All traffic management I have used never do site visit always street view it and take through what I need from them. Surely spec for quote will state what traffic management is needed.
  11. As said 12v portable winch is heavy and limited to how many pulls before battery go's flat. Winch on truck is best if truck is stuck but you still need something to anchor it to, i have pulled lots of root out in back garden with truck mounted winch with the aid of snatch blocks to change direction of pull. Some with just straight pull

    That's a very good price, was that a recent quote,there Internet price is just over £50 + vat.
  23. They were well looked after trees for years then let to go, and someone went in to them to hard. I know were they are but I didn't cut them, when I first saw them thought next set was digger in and out with roots.
  24. Will need some new boot soon as well anyone tried Treemme Aquastop Pro looks a good strong boot. Wear Haix protector pro but its a heavy boot.
