  1. How big is the area and what's it going to be.
  2. I would never hire out that type of machine unless on my tractor with operator. My old boss hired a swipe to local estate to clear some ground, told them repairs would be charged to them, it cost them more for repairs then the hire cost.
  3. I once got kept up by a party that went on till the early hours like 4.00 anyway got my revenge start sawing logs at 6.00 once most of the campers had nodded off. As others have said between normal working hours there is little they can do.
  4. I would use shaped piece of tin stuck on with CT1 sealer great stuff. Stuck a roof tile back together with it on a garage I drop saw on a a temp repair till I got new tile replace it and throw old tile on truck and it didn't brake.
  5. Bad earth, Loss starter motor lead. My mate have a BMW sports car for weeks he had trouble starting it would just click, mechanic said put new battery on it no improvement. Got me to look at it will I was there, opened bonnet and got him to turn key big spark from starter turned out main battery lead was lose. To check earth get a jump lead and put it on negative on battery and other end on body of starter if you can't get it on starter any good shiny bit on engine.
  6. No good telling them it's not been modified as they will not pay out. Both Landys are with Adrian Flux and come in at around £600 the pair that with 1 other named driver, and limited mileage on both which brings it down a lot.
  7. Never had any luck with NFU with modified land rovers once I mentioned it they stopped asking questions and said we don't insure them.
  8. So a lot of you are quoting you have fleet policy, I have always been told need 3 or more vehicle to get policy. So how are you doing it with only 2.
  9. I did it once when I rang to renew, when lady on phone asked if everything was correct I said no price was to high, she said there maybe a better quote and put my vehicles through the system. Came back with a like for like quote around £100 cheaper.
  10. Isn't that a 7.5T lorry.
  11. Big house next-door were I cut grass have just retired a Murry 8/30 bought new in 1987, deck had been patched over patch, engine used oil bad, chassis weld ba k together. Engine part not available so going to scrap it unless anyone wants some parts.
  12. Looking at the Bandit chipper they have just an engine mounted like a power pack. Could you not find a good small combine engine and fit it complete with it old clutch housing and just fit old pulley.
  13. So the piece of wood broke your hand, pain in hand then arm. Have you been checked that you have not got a trapped nerve or even tendon damage.
  14. Let me try and word it better, so the shaft that is connected to grab has the two outlets so has the shaft got two holes drill down it or just one.
  15. It doesn't matter what small loader it is it will make life easier. I run a Tobrobco Giant 204 it is a game changer on large trees when clearing away timber, getting chipper into gardens and moving it about. Handy bit of kit around yard moving stuff about, my can be out all week moving timber or brash, boring fence post holes, or it can sit in shed all week when a small jobs, you will not think twice about getting one if you demo one.
  16. So took pipe off bottom of rotator which goes to rod end, when I grab piece of wood tighter had oil coming out of pipe but also out of outlet on rotator, I take it that is a single port drill through centre of pin and pressure works it out.
  17. No it's not on quick disconnect.
  18. Use farma crane today and noticed grab looses grip is there anyway of knowing if its the seal in ram or O ring in valve block.
  19. Broke down some large rings for land lord this afternoon so he can lift them on to his Hycrack splitter.
  20. Chicken legs and vanish was she hoping for a quick get away.
  21. Someone may have bypassed the stress controller,, in the engine bay on the fly wheel housing there's a black box on do it and look for wires twisted together. Long time since I was told how to bypass it but sure someone will be along and tell us.
  22. Just seen a pair at local stable yard.
  23. Both my land rovers are under Adrian Flux this is because all the modified bits on them no other brokers wanted to know. Have got both on limited milage which makes a big difference.
  24. Why buy a fence post, any good piece of timber the right size would do.
