  1. funnily enough, not because I think its the best truck but: a) i always fancied a hilux but they have always been out of reach for me price wise b) the dealership is just up the road from me and they gave me the best service when I walked in the door. & c) i couldn't get a navara cause my mates one just recently snapped in half, I couldn't get an amarok because i know this real flash **** with one and i cant stand his face. the dealer from Mitsubishi obviously thought i was wasting his time/ or his wife had left him, not sure. I plain refuse to buy another ford after my 1.1 135k mile fiesta blew up leaving me stranded 15 years ago! and I couldn't get a rodeo because a guy we worked for owes us 7 grand has one and every time i see one i get a little boiling feeling in my tummy. (we're not aloud to name and shame but if you want to know which forestry company in the highlands of Scotland not to works for message me).
  2. so...... in the end I went for a new Hilux.
  3. we rough cut about 10 birch rings and handed them to a woman, when she asked how much I said a contribution to the coffee fund would suffice, she gave me £50 and was delighted, I think £50 for what your doing is a bargain, considering its a 'specialist wedding piece'. Think how much these would be in a shop?.
  4. I'm bumping this thread as a reminder.

    Avant 420?

Anyone got any experience with the Ferrari turbo loader? ? Thinking of hiring one onto a site clearance job we got round the corner
  7. I can honestly say, I don't think I have ever seen some one cycling on the road who looked like they were enjoying it. Puts me right aff.

    Sycamore

If target is 0 then leave it to do what it wants, if it wants to lie down then so be it.

    Tree Neglect

not exactly what your looking for but from a site I looked at today...... apparently trying to remove wire wrapped around the stem. (yeah).
  10. We hire one of these out from time to time. Capable enough for smaller jobs. The fact that you can have the head sat at 90 degrees is handy working close to fences etc. However if we have a lot to do in a day or more or a big stump to bust out......... no thanks. If I was to buy a machine of this dimensions I would go for a rayco or bandit etc and be happy to pay the extra.

    Small airline

I've got one of these, it pish. ok for inflating tires but not suitable as an airline
  15. Aye, but guys as good as us dont need to enter comps to boost our ego:biggrin:
  16. My theory is, the better you are at actually climbing the worse you are at throw lining. ........thats what I tell myself anyway.
  17. In hate throw lines, but on the plus side i can dead wood every tree in a 30m radius without getting off the ground (all with the exception of the tree I'm meant to be doing).
  18. at a rough guess I reckon around 100 cube or so. will have a look into that cheers.
  19. I was thinking of something like this, the idea being to stack 5 or 6 rings or whatever along its length. I dont think a hycrack will be significantly quicker than our own splitter but thanks anyway.
  20. yeah, I found one just under the surface when renewing our fence at the bottom of the garden, no idea what it was so just kinda brushed it aside and cracked on. wife went tits cause she missed bake off.
