  1. We recently hired in a processor to clear our back log of timber. This was fantastic but really showed us how our current method of processing timber is woefully slow. All the lengths have been split but we now have a massive pile of rings we need to work through. The thought of doing this on our oxdale errect splitter .... well it will take more time than we have. Does anyone near Dundee have a big ass splitter that would be capable of busting multiple rings quickly they would be willing to hire out? Cheers Brett.
  2. thank you, good reply. I think i melted every single engine gasket and was filling with oil every other fuel stop on my last l200 warrior until someone wrote it off for me, I put this down to towing. something to think about. (..... aye, and **** maintenance)
  3. I need to fit kiddie seat in the back on days off. also handy for carrying the troops when we don't need the van.
  4. I've gotten to the stage where I just accept that SJ slips, I do replace cams etc. when I'm in a position where its a pita slipping i flip the tail of the rope over the wooden block and that locks it out.

  15. Would it be better to have a standard alpine, fit it with a front loader then build bespoke guarding around it?
  16. Spinner..... can the front logging plate be exchanged for a front loader, ideal pallet fork / beak / grab?
  17. I found, when I was a subby, that if a firm invited you in and you had to use your own rigging kit you are ultimately working for diddys. I quickly got pissed off with having to instruct nuggets on how to use the kit, setting it up so they never have to touch or tie a knot and having to take bits off small so I didn't get shot into orbit. I do enjoy the occasional rodeo ride but there is a time and a place. Conversely work for a good firm with their own kit and they know how to use it, its a pleasure.
  18. "WIND THE BOBBIN UP, WIND THE BOBBIN UP, PULL PULL CLAP CLAP PULL, WIND IT BACK AGAIN, WIND IT BACK AGAIN, PULL PULL CLAP CLAP PULL, POINT TO THE CEILING POINT TO THE FLOOR POINT TO THE WINDOW AND POINT TO THE DOOR, CLAP YOUR HANDS TOGETHER 1 2 3, PUT YOUR HAND APP-ON YOUR KNEE" ....... thanks to my 20 month old daughter. shoot me.
