  1. Running to the border is one thing, running to a border with no extradition is far better. easy-lift guy
  2. I can ship over a few extra spades and pick axes if need be:thumbup1: easy-lift guy
  3. During the Summer months May thru October I drink on average1.5 to Two gal. of Water per day. In the Fall Winter and Spring about Half as much. Keeping yourself properly hydrated is very important and can help with many daily aches and pains. I also invested in a new mattress nearly 10 years ago and have not woke up stiff and uncomfortable ever since. The Brand is Sleep Number, By Select comfort beds. Between the two I don't really have any back issues any more and I sleep and function on a daily basis much better. easy-lift guy
  4. You are not taking this matter to far in fact here in the states he would have been arrested on the spot for providing smokes to teen agers and if he was buying adult bev's he would be in the klink for a while. Start the eviction process and serve him official notice if need be. The neighborhood will be better for it and you fell better about it. easy-lift guy
  5. Good for you!, one less bad stat for HSE to work into additional regulations. easy-lift guy
  6. I agree with you Al. I believe it all comes back to education of the consumer. While some folks believe the use of a top handle saw may be dangerous for any not skilled in their use, I have also noticed some who think that there is an unfair advantage due to weekend warriors and the like earning extra $$$. When I purchased my first top handle there was a video that I was required to watch before I left the store with my new purchase. I was happy to watch and learn since.. That was a while ago and I know of no dealers here in the US that have that requirement at this time, I think it should be mandatory for all new purchases, since I believe education is still the key. BTW the video was produced by Stihl. easy-lift guy
  7. Looks like the orinigal first true chain saw. Thanks for sharing look forward to the restore. easy-lift guy
  8. At least for myself here in the States, once the work order or contract was signed depending on the size of the landscape job I would request 1/3 or 1/2 down for the cost of the material and the balance paid in full upon completion. This last part was really important since my customers would also sign a release that they knew the job was done and it was time to cough., No it was not a prostate exam just final payment. For other types of work weather it be tree or landscape work in general, payment is due upon completion of job. No additional terms were ever offered since I like to keep the drama of getting paid for services rendered to a min. easy-lift guy
  9. Jackpot, clean them up and sell them or take them out for some trigger time either way nice find. easy-lift guy
  10. Wow!, Hope you have a speedy recovery, Sir. easy-lift guy
  11. My number1 just made the comment that the model in question was in a line up and postive ID was confirmed. easy-lift guy
  12. Many widow makers here and have see first hand the results of tree damage after Tornados spawned by Hurricanes. I choose to be safe rather than sorry and remove dangerious trees planted to close or in and around areas that can be destroyed by storms. Trees can always be replanted homes and lives are a little harder to mend. easy-lift guy
  13. Sounds like the Police did not do their due diligence regarding this case and the response was way over the top. I would request from the head of the force a letter of apology to you and make copies of this document to hand out to the folks in your neighborhood. At least than you could feel a little better about someone else's mistake and so will your neighbors. This is the very least the Police could do to help set things right IMHO. easy-lift guy
  14. Might I suggest my thread means and methods of protecting your kit from theft. I choose to disclose this info in the form of a pm since this is a public forum and I am sure the thieves monitor this site.

    Best regards

    Ted

  15. Do they have repeat offenders laws on the books in the UK?, Over here they do and the swine stay where they belong a lot longer:sneaky2: easy-lift guy
  16. Trigger Time? easy-lift guy
  17. Jazz, Have to pay your dues if you want to sing the Blues and you know it don't come easy. Ring Starr. Do the whole course and remember sooner or later you will use or have a need for the balance of your classes. I can not expect you to understand at 19 but by the same token you have more than enough time to change your mind and choose another carrer. All the best easy-lift guy
  18. Based on any number of other reports I have read posted on this topic, NO:sneaky2: easy-lift guy ps. Over here it is a matter of probable cause. Don't think the cops would have done anything on the clock, but at least over here the good cops are on duty 24/7 365.
  19. Fantastic news. Go's to show that a few ounces of prevention was well worth Hundreds of pounds of cure. As far as punishment is concerned I am with other members for the removal of body parts starting with the head. easy-lift guy
  20. Here in the States as well, Cost of doing business, for sure. easy-lift guy
  21. Renault Pirate, that is a good one!, I do hope you get your engine work sorted out in the end? easy-lift guy
  22. IMO, The legal owner of any property should be the only party to deal with period, anyone else having a hand in the matter is just going to be more problems later. based on the terms stated earlier you have done enough to cover your back side and more than most. Like suggested earlier a trust your gut and decide which course of action to follow after a chat with the rightful owner of the property. easy-lift guy
  23. With any used car or truck I always take the vehicle to my mechanic. I also make sure that my mechanic is not to chummy with the dealership the vehicle came from. If it came from a private owner same thing. Honda's over here when well maintained last for 100'000 plus Miles and still going strong. Normal maintenance is the key. Also we have a service called Car Fax over here and it can provide for a small charge the history of the car for inspection. easy-lift guy
  24. Just wondering if you have noticed any "weed seed" germination from the use of horse poo with your potting mix?. easy-lift guy
  25. That suggestion seems a little harsh, or maybe the way it was suggested:sneaky2: easy-lift guy
