  1. Greetings Westerly, as stated above. If you can't find it on ArbTalk your looking to hard. easy-lift guy
  2. You are correct about the folks here in the States as well, I had a customer who was disappointed that when I showed up with my Brand new Woods ZTR machine it only took me 1/2 the time to do his lawn then before?, he than proceeded to say with a dead pan face that he felt he should get a discount on his monthly service for maintenance services rendered!!. Mind you that was a year round account. I explained why he would not be getting a discount and he accepted my story:001_huh:. Thanks for the good stuff made over here esp. them Easy-Lift Harnesses:thumbup1: easy-lift guy
  3. Yes, and thanks. Might I suggest a soaker hose. This product is a type of hose that is more like a sponge that releases an even amount of water as long as the water is on. here in the states they come in 50' lengths and are available at most lawn and garden centers. I guess you could make your own as well, just have to be able to secure a cap for the end. Coat hangar wire or the like can secure the hose easily and a mulch will finish the job off. Simple and cost effective. easy-lift guy
  4. I second that motion or 5.56 or 223 hollow point. easy-lift guy
  5. How many trees and how long or big of a planting area?, from you description is there a bit of a slope towards or away from the water source? Please advise. easy-lift guy
  6. Depends on his contract, however as best I can tell he deserves nothing at all. Maybe he better grow a pair of eyes on the back side of his head, just incase. easy-lift guy
  7. I think that is the best news I have heard so far this year, Long live the " Big Man". easy-lift guy

  9. Yes many happy faces at the show and it seems that the New England Patriots were really popular for the show, untill they lost on Sunday:blushing:, Owell better luck next season. easy-lift guy
  10. Yes, and thanks for asking, sold out on everything I went up with and been filling orders since I got back this Monday, weather really made a difference esp. since in the past Snow has been a big issue for attendence and this show. Clear/Cold othewrwise everything went great! easy-lift guy

  12. and a few more pics from the show... New England Grows - slideshow 2 -elg
  13. Like I stated earlier the "something " to sign to pay once the job is done is called a change work order, if the customer is in favor of that have the customer sign off on the change work order do the job and move on from there if the customer is not willing to pay once the job is completed pack your gear and see him in court. Any attorney worth their weight in Salt would love to take on a case where someone has refused to pay on a change work order or like contract. IMHO, If you choose to treat the customer in a way that may make you feel good for a while the long term consequences can and should hurt your professional standing within the industry as a whole. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Don't lower yourself to your customers level, you are professional, remain so. easy-lift guy
  14. Just a few pics from the New England Grows Conference in Boston. New England Grows 2012 -elg
  15. This is proving to be such a hard and expensive lesson learned. I believe the customer is use to taking advantage of situations like this and more than likely always has. I would at this point arrange a meeting between the customer yourself and the conservation department to finally Iron out this matter once and for all. I would still suggest a change order form to be signed by the customer spelling out what is left to be done and that payment is due upon completion with no exceptions. Do the job and move on. I would also not except any more family referals for work in the future, for many reasons and lessons learned from this situation. easy-lift guy
  16. If you are clearing a profit after your labor/material cost go for it. You may find that working with container material is a lot easier and the survival rate should also be better as well.
  17. Prepare a change work order for the customer explain everything that you have done to this point and include the additional removal of the Ash as well for 600. Have the customer sign off on this change work order and proceed with the job. If the customer refuses to agree to these terms explain that this is the best interest of both parties and you are willing to remove the other Ash as a business courtesy. easy-lift guy
  18. How many trees out of One Million do you think will survive to any state of maturity? Although this idea seems to have some "feel good" status, I believe planting tree types with the greatest chance of survival and benefit to all seems more practical. easy-lift guy
  19. Although this is a satirical look at the state of well fare in the UK, here in the States many generations live every day of their lives and future lives planning and plotting their next way to steal from everyone else by way of the Government give away programs. Many are very proud of how they have taken advantage of the many means of available cash and of course want more and if they don't get more you are obviously a racist or you just don't care or you better give me what I want or I will sue you until I have it. Or I will help elect someone willing to force more taxes upon the remaining folks willing to pay to help keep me office another term. Fortunately for most Americans the country is so broke that the poor have not's are really having a hard time coping without perhaps for the first time in their collective lives. Just electing someone to office will never be enough in the future and if increasing taxes or creating new taxes are options one only has to look at certain countries in Europe to see that has never worked. There are opportunities for many if given a chance or guidance from others. The balance will have to feed upon them self's for the future, pretty bleak but for the most part of all their own making. Rant over. easy-lift guy
  20. Same applies here in the states only your expenses against your rental property are a write off, the balance which you should never have is taxable. At 29 depending on your long term goals and how much $$$ you have to work with and your health and family present and future, I would lean towards property investment:thumbup1: easy-lift guy
  21. Once bitten twice shy. easy-lift guy
  22. When the battery go's dead or becomes weak what do you do? The more dependent people become on electronic tech. The weaker they become, continuing with the basics is the best course of action, IMO. easy-lift guy
  23. A man has got to know his limitations, Clint Eastwood. Your advise is well founded. easy-lift guy
  24. My best advise is get enough sleep keep yourself hydrated with water, and STAY AWAY FROM SICK PEOPLE!. easy-lift guy
