  2. Perhaps butler has more respect than fear:001_cool: easy-lift guy
  3. I agree Andy this has been very interesting and thread with some opinions different than others and others pretty much alike. FYI you are the saving type so get use to it, if you were a little meaner and not so nice and considerate of others and such you would not be picked on so much:lol:, your not allowed to see your saviour becuse that is not in the hand book. Your cursed so live with it. easy-lift guy
  4. Take Two Asprin and log back in the morning:lol: easy-lift guy
  5. I decided many moons ago not to work on Sundays out of respect of my parents and my customers were willing, and more times than not happy that I did not work on Sunday. My exception for working on Sunday would include work after natural disasters ie, Hurricanes/Tornado's, floods. easy-lift guy
  6. You sir have a First Class other half. Happy Birthday and treat your wife for a nice dinner out with proceeds from your next job using your new climbing kit. easy-lift guy
  7. Rob, I think your missing the point. If you respect someone else's beliefs than that is fine. You yourself believe in yourself and you are very confident/happy without a god, good for you. It does not make Matt any better than any one else or yourself for that matter. It just means that Matt believes in serving his Savior for the sacrifice he made on behalf of man kind as a whole. Like most folks he is just doing the best he can and he is thankful in the process. I do not believe anyone is actively trying to proselytize anyone else with this thread, just wondering who if any are Christians. More than likely that has been decided, or maybe not?. Next opinion. easy-lift guy
  8. Evening Matt, I do like your thread and the funny thing about the replies is that for non Christians having less respect for you or Christians in general. I look at it this way, unless someone has done me or my family wrong I can and will respect them. If that changes then I can still part friends and go from there. At least that is the way I was brought up and raised Catholic here in the States.

Take care and thanks for raising awareness about an interesting subject.

    Best regards

    Ted

  9. I have faith in myself and my family and my religion. I do the best I can everyday for myself and treat people the way I like to be treated. It is a way of life for me and keeps me sane for the most part. I understand that there are other folks in the world that don't even know me but would be happy to have my life ended due to my belief and faith. I can understand that but will never except it. No one said that life on this planet would be easy, "no pun intended" but I believe were all here to do the best job we can and make each day a little better for our self's and our fellow man/women. At least that is my plan, and I am sticking to it. easy-lift guy
  10. Thank you for your service. easy-lift guy
  11. Roman Catholic. Not always proud of everything my faith has accomplished but, I was born and raised and will die a Catholic. Good thread. easy-lift guy
  12. establish an operating budget, and know your competition and what they charge for their product. Set reasonable goals as far as where you want to be in year 1 and 3 and 5 and always adjust as needed base on market conditions and operating cost. Don't be greedy and grow slowly and provide the best customer service you can, always treat your customers as you wish to be treated, otherwise don't go into business for your self. You work for yourself so don't make/take business decisions personally, it usually turns around and bites you in the butt. easy-lift guy
  13. As long as public industry continues to be allowed to undercut private industry for work the complete death of Capitalism and Free enterprise is not far away. We can not have it both ways folks and if the private industry thinks that is the way it is because it has been, you may want to pack it in now and work for the public sector. Otherwise work against this pox, your very way of live may depend upon it. don't give up. easy-lift guy
  14. I have read over this entire thread and was expecting a joke somewhere to appear, sadly I have not:sneaky2: IMO using tax payer funded employees with operating cost and overhead completely subsidized by the tax payers to compete against private industry for the sake of having work for said employees is INSANE. I am not aware of such a situation here State side and I believe the locals would have none of it. We pay more than enough in taxes for services rendered by our local, City, County, State, or Federal government's. It is not possible for private industry to compete with or against public industry since the cards are completely stacked against private industry for the reasons all ready stated. At least over here it is vary hard to get public industry to do much of anything pro active in regards to maintenance without letting them know, and when they do try and pretend to be professional like some folks in the private industry, the results are usually bad or worse. . I believe public industry should stick with serving the needs of the public and leave the private sector alone to do their jobs as well. Unless there is a even playing field which i believe does not exist based on the replies to this thread it is a lose lose for all concerned, esp. the tax payers, Big time!!!! easy-lift guy
  15. You shall become one of the converted by trying the ELH not to be confused with the easy-lift:confused1:. Being a ground dweller has it's up's and downs. Glad things and the weather is well for you in France. easy-lift guy
  16. Greetings and Welcome Mr. Shaker, How are things in France? easy-lift guy
  17. You are professional and I believe you work for yourself, that said here in the States I would only guarantee a landscape for 30 days against loss, excluding acts of god. More times than not I would provide a year guarantee if the customer secured my maintenance service. Since we have a year round growing season usually on average I never lost more than 2% for any landscape I ever installed. Don't worry about this person willing to talk to her friends about the work you have done Two years ago easy-lift guy
  18. Good job, did the camcorder have a zoom in feature or was that as close as you could get? easy-lift guy
  19. Now you need a easy-lift harness and you will be set and in complete control for the first and last time. easy-lift guy
  20. Only a few?, the further South you head the more crazy they are and some you want to watch out for other reasons as well:sneaky2: Enjoy your time in BC, very beautiful. easy-lift guy
  21. Only out of a bucket and secured. Using a power pole saw off of a ladder is never safe and far to dangerous. easy-lift guy
  22. Greetings, I liked your response about members helping out other members. Since I joined AT almost a year ago I have had no regrets and found most of the members likeable and well informed on various subject matters. My primary reason for joining was to further encourage users of 2/4 cycle products to use my lifting harness. This has been a very interesting road to travel and I have found the feed back from the membership as a whole very positive.

    All the best

  25. I think someone tripped over the plug strip which also controlled the lighting in the chat room and that was it, until the cleaning lady showed up and sorted everything out. easy-lift guy
