  1. There are plenty cowboys with tickets who don't have a clue what they are doing!
  2. Cracking set up you've got there! Does the chipper ever get clogged up because of the extra long chute? Really enjoying seeing what your up to silky.
  3. I like the look of the black chippers, seriously thinking about painting my safe track black when I get round to tarting it up.
  4. Has anyone tried the silvey square ground chain like the chainsaw guy and buckin billy use?
  5. Nice tidy job stumpy ?

Basically I'm looking for something that can carry the 3 ton digger and grab and tow the safetrack on the ifor tipper at the same time to save doing two runs? It's quite rural here in Argyll so I can be travelling 50 plus miles from the yard for work! Chip can usually be left on site or tipped somewhere local to the job.

Thanks for all your replies. I only have a pre 97 licence so was hoping to keep it to 7.5 ton but am I right in thinking I would need a class 1 licence to tow 2.9 ton ? That's a nice truck roseyweb, is it the same physical size as a 7.5 tonner? How much wedge?
  13. Nice one silky, see some new sights.

Im thinking about buying an iveco 7.5 ton tipper truck, anyone running one want to tell me if they are any good? Would it be able to take a three ton digger in the back and tow a safetrack 1928 legally ?
  15. You coming north silky?
  16. What chipper is it? I think my greenmech 1928 takes 32.
  17. Local hire shop to me said machine was only insured inside their yard, as soon as you drive through the gates it's on you!
  18. Your not going to burn out the clutch unless you slip it, and that winch will easily handle 10inch trees if the clutch is good ?
  19. Is that a big trailed stump grinder on the back of the mog?
  20. Small gravity fed chippers are painfully slow, you might find your quicker mashing up branches in your trailer with the saw. Tracked chipper in the tipping trailer works for me but it might not be right for you depending on where you live.
  21. I had an old hycrack splitter that I used for a few years, had a few frights using it and my father in law told me the story of John losing his eye so it was retired! Better safe than sorry.
  22. I think they are designed for via ferrata.
  23. Mate of mine has had a hamstring injury and been off work for three months and it's still not sorted, get it looked at asap!
  24. Tracked chipper in the back of the van?
  25. Check out the chainsaw guy on you tube, he has some interesting videos on dressing and fixing damaged bars.
