  1. Is that a big trailed stump grinder on the back of the mog?
  2. Small gravity fed chippers are painfully slow, you might find your quicker mashing up branches in your trailer with the saw. Tracked chipper in the tipping trailer works for me but it might not be right for you depending on where you live.
  3. I had an old hycrack splitter that I used for a few years, had a few frights using it and my father in law told me the story of John losing his eye so it was retired! Better safe than sorry.
  4. I think they are designed for via ferrata.
  5. Mate of mine has had a hamstring injury and been off work for three months and it's still not sorted, get it looked at asap!
  6. Tracked chipper in the back of the van?
  7. Check out the chainsaw guy on you tube, he has some interesting videos on dressing and fixing damaged bars.

    Unimogs

That u1300 has been for sale for ages! On eBay and Atkinson vos. I like the look of it but too expensive for me.
  9. Yeah I was thinking the same Steve???
  10. I bet that Jensen was over 30 grand new!!! Make him an offer and tart it up a bit and try it out for size, if its not for you it would sell on easy once painted up.
  11. I've passed it loads too, it looks very tidy not sure if it runs tho. The county tractors look tidy too, if I had the spare cash I'd be bidding on them as an investment, they are going up in value all the time!
  12. Who did you get the standing spruce from John?
  13. I'm kicking 17 stone these days and it defo gets in the way on the tippy reductions.
  14. Ha ha Joe newton cracks me up!
  15. What about a crafter tipper? I've driven the panel Van crafter 3.5 ton and it's a great big van, basically a vw badged sprinter I think?
  16. I bought a safetrac 1928 earlier this year for under 10 grand, its a bit rough around the edges but chips brilliantly and is the best machine for tracking I've ever used! That said if I had the money I would have bought a younger machine with less hours. Beware a lot of safetracs have had a hard life on the railways!
  17. Yeah it sounds like your crank is knackered. It will have worn through lack of grease or running a worn bearing for too long. Seen a couple 261 s with this problem.

    461

I occasionally use a 36 inch bar on a 461, it is fairly slow and prob not great for the saw but has got the job done for me when I've no big saw on site.
  19. Strathbogie supply sse tree cutting north with all their gear so should have plenty arb stuff.
  20. Strathbogie supply sse tree cutting north with all their gear so should have plenty web stuff.
  21. That photo makes the chipper look the same length as the mog
  22. Would you not be able to fit your front mount Jensen now you have uprated the mog suspension ? Then fit a hiab to the rear on a din plate, I think Stevie Blair had a neat quick release set up on his old u1200. Imo having the hiab behind the cab will be very restrictive and you will prob have to lose a bit of your chip box.
  23. Branch dragger still required.
  24. Leave the poor boy with them! How would you like yours lopped off ???
  25. Guy I sub for requires a branch dragger for rhoddie clearance work in Oban / lochgilphead areas. Must be hard working and reliable Salary of around £ 19000 per year . If interested contact davie on 07780795870.
