  1. The chipper looks fairly easy to straighten out?? That's really decent of the other tree guys offering trucks and chippers ?
  2. I sure am Mr wicklamulla ?. Shame we don't have the space over here for massive chippers like that, I get plenty people moaning about how much wood I chip with the old safetrack! They would have a fit if I turned up with ax 19 and proceeded to chip there whole tree in one go ???
  3. I would suggest you go watch some afleetcommand videos on youtube, he has loads of detailed videos on rebuilding saws. He knows his stuff ?
  4. Vermeer ax 19 ????
  5. The big tp chippers are worth a look.
  6. I'd agree, very capable machine but it is only 7.5 X 11 inch
  7. Not for any type of wood cutting ???
  8. Anyone tried the arbortec waterproof smock?
  9. Is that self employed? Seems fair pay to me. I've heard others in north east Scotland struggle to get guys and put it down to most young folk chasing bigger money off shore, not sure if that's right or not.
  10. That's how diseased trees should be dealt with, the UK could learn a thing or two. ?
  11. When I was at sse all employees used 2 ropes plus a strop, or 1 rope and 2 strops. 2 ropes were handy for big hardwoods and big branch walks where you could take a big swing but I found it a total pain in the arse most of the time and defiantly slower! And still doesn't stop idiots tying into epi regrowth.
  12. Sse have been using 2 ropes for about 10 years now! Knee jerk reaction to some twat falling ten ft out a tree after tying into a bit of epi regrowth!
  13. He should have just put a cummins 6bt in it, you can pick them up for 500 quid! ?
  14. It was quite a tidy one too was it not? What a waste!
  15. Seen this in oban the other day, must be worth a few quid?
  16. What a waste of a nice wee mog! ???
  17. Bloody tourists! ?. That could have been nasty.
  18. No wonder you were raging, that place looks braw ?
  19. That's a proper west coast load! ??
  20. What an angry looking guy! ??. He was going way too fast, especially with faulty trailer brakes ?.
  21. If that was here it would have been rusted solid!
  22. Yeah think you have hit the nail on the head spud. I think the FC had a lot to do with husky being popular here, all their cutters in this area had husky saws so most of the contract cutters followed suit.
  23. Yeah I'm a big fan of him too, he will fix anything and runs loads of old scrap like me ?
  24. Is 550 husky not the alternative to the 261?
  25. If it were me I'd go for 462
