  1. Forst want £242 for a pair of blades. I thought that was a bit excessive so posted here to see if anyone has any. If not I will have some made.
  2. Hi, yes got my new 500i Stihl with the new chipper..all is great. Does anyone sell chipper blades for the Forst ST6D? I'm thinking of having some made. Cheers
  3. Hi, no not had the chance to compare side by side.. But this is why I started this thread..to try and see if anyone has any preferences before I decide which one to buy.. Anyway I have ordered a new ST6D.. I just can't not order it now, it works so well and the Forst customer service is second to none..made me feel like a VIP. Collected and delivered machines saving me days and hundreds of miles in travelling.. Leant me the demo machine for a week to keep my business going. They can't do enough for you..I thoroughly recommend Forst and can't wait for my new machine to be delivered on Monday. Cheers Forst ?
  4. Yes, apparently that is what the have done. Heavier flywheel and different gearing..but believe me it really works.. And diesel is cheaper than petrol and this uses much less than my 30HP petrol Greenmech. And yet produces twice the chips in a days work.
  5. Ive been using the Forst ST6D 25HP Demo machine for a week now and it is unbelievable.. It eats everything we throw at it.. My Greenmech was a 30HP petrol and could only do less than half the throughput that this ST6D does.. Very Impressed.
  6. Thanks for replies, think I am going to go with ST6D.. Does anyone know what the price is? I can't find any published price lists. I have their demo unit here and I think it is great. The st6d has the Kubota engine. What is a stage V engine please?
  7. Hi, does anyone have any recommendations for which Forst chipper to buy new? I think I fancy the ST6D?? Does this model have any negative comments? And what price should I be paying? Cheers Simon
  8. Thanks that's perfect! Just what I was looking for.
  9. Hi, Does anyone have a reputable source for a tree growth factor table for uk trees? I am trying to calculate the age of a tree and need a reputable source for the data. Kind regards
  10. Hi, I am looking at signing up for the Lantra 3 day course in Professional Tree Inspection. As a prerequisite I am expected to own and have read the following list of books: I have tree Identification books but that is all from the list so far. Does anyone have any old copies lying around that they would be willing to sell? Or maybe someone could direct me to some downloadable pdf's perhaps? Cheers in advance.
