  1. I think its Abie you mean another very good banking mower with twin wheels will go anywhere
  2. Skag with a humus head or Etesia atilla ride on brush cutter both will deal with brambles the skag will obliterate them and can be used on banks quite safely.
  3. I personally think the four way knifes on a vertical splitter are a bit of a waste of money as they will only cut logs the same diameter as the knife itself so you end up with loads of little logs. I cut the ends off mine and use it like that you only have to go in an inch and it breaks the log and fibres. I would be interested in what others think.
  4. Sold 9.6 m3 today and took £950 take 150out for cord[some is free wood] processing delivery another 100 25 for the unforeseen so 675 - tax will do me for a days work. Tomorrow i will only take 4 cube but over the week it adds up to a good wage so imo its worth doing:001_smile:
  5. Looks like a different garden nice work:001_smile:
  6. Thanks for the update! Now can you predict next winter so i know how much cord to buy in
  7. Couple of years ago you would of been in with a chance check the dates on the start of the thread. ps ive done the same myself:blushing:
  8. A peice of blue water pipe between the handles will turn it to one hand operation. Never had problem with the leader control.
  9. Ive just had the same problem. Replaced battery had it wired into truck battry was £110 and new plugs all the leads and bits and bobs professionally installed for £190. Now i know it will work all day every day.
  10. Ive just done had the clutch done in my isuzu [54000 miles of heavy towing all in it cost 450 when i had a Navara i had a clutch in that at a cost of 1200 there is a huge difference. I think the Navara is one of the smartest looking trucks on the road and they pull like trains if Nisson could sort the problems out it would be the best selling trucks on the road. At the moment the only other contender is the Rodeo.
  11. Lots of people advertising seasoned hardwood at stupidly cheep prices then deliver a pile of crap. We have had a lot of new customers that have been caught this way. Put price up again this year 1.8 cube is now £175 and no one has complained. Ive found if people are happy with the product and you deliver on time they will pay the price. Bring on the winter
  12. Another magik13t Sorry about the poor quality of pics.
  13. I take it the young lady never worked out?
  14. There are some nasty people around! Insane
  15. There is a set up in Shropshire called wood works that do the cs units at a reduced rate there is a criteria but its worth trying. Its held at north Shropshire college so contact them.
  16. Sycamore is the only wood i have mould problems with but this year all the mouldy barks just peeled off it good firewood
  17. I get the load over the weigh bridge at a local spud farm but i use the same guy all the time so it works both ways.
  18. Can not see a problem with this a few pigs to help save our solders its a small price to pay.
  19. They are very good on fuel ive got the 3l with over drive it pulls like a train.Get some pics up
  20. Is it the 2.5 or 3l either way you will love it.
  21. Thats about what i am getting.
  22. Thats why i am on arbtalk all day on a Friday suppose to logging but went out last night and had one to many so sat by the fire with new pup nursing a poorly head.
  23. Please can you explain your calculation for this as if its true firewood is not worth doing!!!!!!!
  24. I meant the last hour sorry. The blokes i have on for me work hard so at the end of the day it the pub not the yard. Dont get me wrong the minute they start rushing or the place is not left how we found it then firewood at the yard would become the norm. But there not full time so that makes a difference:001_smile:.
