  1. Not wanting to come across blunt but I can not see the point in making lads work an extra hour doing logging at the end of a day best way to get low moral and no matter how hard working they would soon get pissed off with that .
  2. I gave 5k for ours but you can pick imports up off ebay for 4450. Ive used a lot of mowers and rate it very highly . I think with a small pedestrian a hydro 80 and hydo 100/ iseki sxg 19 you can tackle any grass in any weather. Speak to your local agent and they will give you a demo one.
  3. The bahia is the home owners version of the hydro 80 and there is a lot of differences. I put about 180 hours on our 80 each season and we have had it two and a half seasons all its cost extra is two blades one bent and one worn down. We get a lot of work as it all go through a garden gate and has a very tight turning circle so it does the work of three pedestrian mowers so i win a lot of work with it. Ive cut grass with the side discharge that would make our iseki struggle and it will collect very well indeed. In short it eats deers for breakfast
  4. Etesia hydro 80 best small sit on mower ever made:thumbup:
  5. If its multi fuel go for it coal burns from the bottom up so it will have a thicker plate than a wood burner.
  6. Is it a multi fuel or a wood burner.
  7. Not at all proper tree work made to look easy! A chain is a lot more likely to slip than a strop especially on a single loop just putting my two pence worth in . Its what happens when the piece is been landed if it touches the deck with a single loop it will move double wrap with a bite safe strop even safer.
  8. Every time i refresh my today's posts they are the same as a few days ago no new posts
  9. A 6t strop! Ive seen chains slip on all sorts of materials they should of at least put a double wrap on the chain with a bite on the opposite side to the hook.
  10. The thing that got me was using a chain on a piece that size asking for trouble in my book:
  11. I use the chain brake every time i move its how i was taught and ive only replaced 1 brake band in the 6 years ive been using saws professionally but each to there own if you feel safe not using it then fine.
  12. Brilliant!! Every time i see that poem it gets my back up complete bs.
  13. Had our 201s for a while and can not pick fault with it at all very good straight out the box but then i had been using a 338 brick:blushing:
  14. If the situation arose i would just buy another.
  15. Spot on the last 3mm of tip have broken off new cone needed.
  16. Why would you want double the money:confused1:Do you not ask what size logs they have had in the past it saves so much hassle
  17. When the wife starts spitting out bits of Leylandi
  18. Here is my 2 pence worth 26t of beech =37m3 26 t of ash 50 ish m3 26t mixed hardwood 56 m3 but this was well packed in and end bay hung over back fairish. All this was 10 inch logs done in wedges and half rounds.
  19. Over in Shropshire there is funding available to do nptc courses you just have to pay the assessment fee , there is a criteria but i think it very broad i know of a few people that have completed there 31 32 38 39. So there is funding available you just got to look for it. If you do start out on your own try and employ somebody that has the experience and work along side them it will make it much easier what ever you do good luck and most importantly have fun be safe:001_smile:
  20. I've had a combi km85 and now i have a couple of km 1oo both 4 mix cant fault them and they get used every day. Just get the oil ratio spot on and dont get any water in the mix [filling combi can from a metal can will have condensation in] and they go for years. I have tried having separate tools for each job its more expensive and you have to look after and service many engines with a combi its one for many tools. Get it you will not regret it
  21. OHH NO!!!!!!! I must have cut up a gazillion pounds worth of walnu:lol:
  22. Mark make sure you get 3 amp battery's as they hold charge longer 18v is the one to go for. At one of our local suppliers they have a Dwalt 18v combi drill and impact driver with 3 3amp lithium iron battery for £327 or the same in Makita for a tenner more.
  23. If you book some one in for work you should give then 2 or 3 days notice or at least have other work you can drop on to. As above in my experience its the subbie that does not turn up.
  24. Mc kingstone e bay can not go wrong.
