  3. Le Sanglier

    Damn!

And if only the doors shut, and it didn't leak from everywhere, and....oh well you get the idea.

    Damn!

Land rovers! Got shot of mine after 5years, whenever I feel down I always console myself that I don't own that anymore! (I'm sure the new owner loves it though!)
  5. Not wrong there, my 201 was 615€ and I haggled them down from 630. That 530 quid, I think I could have got it over a hundred quid cheaper in the uk
  6. To me discussion about the policy itself is pointless, it's a fait accompli. What has been intriguing for me has been Stihls response. Somewhere in an office somewhere there was a conversation where someone said "what are we going to do about the inevitable firestorm about this new policy in the UK?" someone else said " nothing, we say nothing, everyone will know why we did it, if we go round listening to people moaning and keep saying to them yes we understand your problems but.... Then it will go on and on best just shut up take the flak for a while then it'll settle down" which to an extent it has before "stihl dealer in Scotland" picked at the scab again.
  7. Good luck in your new business. However it comes about.
  8. For only 400quid you can weld this on, hydraulic thumb, I think I first saw it on here. (Was it on your machine Matthew?) brilliant tool.
  9. You live in Dover! I'm closer to you than Cornwall:001_smile:
  10. Digbits will do them, rotators aren't cheap though!
  11. I know nothing about the Army and all that but this is one of the best posts i've seen recently. Harsh but truthful.
  12. My brother had a V8 and my parents had the 2.6 which was in many ways better. Loved 'em
  13. I'll concede the sceptic bit, after all a sceptic is rarely disappointed. Not so sure about the narrow minded part but who knows? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  14. Nah, blunts the saw too much! As others have said its all about dryness, reclaimed beams, perhaps hundreds of years old burn like coal. (Not if it can be reused of course)
  15. Why go abroad? Many reasons, one of them being that it helps you realise that where you live is not the centre of the universe, your culture, language and way of life is not the default setting for the rest of humanity. The French are poor travellers because they (perhaps with more justification!) reason that France has every thing they could wish for, beaches, skiing beautiful countryside etc. The majority of rural French I deal with have never left the country, and it makes them a rather insular and narrow minded bunch. just my thoughts mind, others may differ.
  16. Old beams, old fence posts and er that's it.
  17. Let he who is without sin.........(ie I won't be casting many stones) Tbf it's a good site and well worth staying within the rules for what you can get out of it.
  18. I'm welling up here!
  19. Yeah I know, didn't want to sully your collection! I've got a 4mix stihl back pack blower and its no great shakes, I'd swap it for a two stroke Echo tomorrow.
  20. If it is just the flexipipe I would go for it, Makita have a good rep. Plus blowers don't get the stick that saws and hedge cutters get cos they're not working against anything. There is no need to be brand snobby on these things (IMO) unless of course you like to keep things....matching.
  21. (Says he lying on the sofa watching the TDF)
  22. It's no picnic up there in helmet, trousers etc, at least you can put the jeans on next to a grinder and it's not so physical. You're right though a bit of breeze is a welcome treat.
  23. Better than climbing!!!!
  24. Keep it for spares, forget about it.
