  1. I've just checked mine for cliches, I've got "we undertake all aspects of tree work" Don't like that much. Not terrible but.....
  2. I am a believer in simplicity, 3 pages, what we do, about us and contact, if you're selling jewels or clothes or summat get technical. Oh and please please don't use the phrase "we strive to provide....."etc its really awful. (Any other website cliches anyone?)
  3. Ted, do you seriously believe that US foreign policy in the region is motivated by altruism?
  4. :001_smile:Oh I don't know, I'm fairly experienced in these matters:001_smile:
  5. Is this a crafty reference to Gullivers Travels? Thereby reminding us all of pointless differences of opinion leading to terrible consequences in light of events in Syria, or am I drunk?
  6. I love cutting them down and getting paid for it, does that count?
  7. Yeah obviously:confused1: You can use a saw if the thickness of the finer growth can make a hedge cutter struggle, then finish it with the cutter. (I'm guessing we're talking about leylandii)
  8. Well how do you lower a hedge, as opposed to trimming it?
  9. Yes, can't abide him but worth a listen, good post.
  10. Well, watching John Kerry has made me more pleased that the UK won't be getting involved.
  11. Well yes, I confess I'm unlikely to queer my pitch here:001_smile:
  12. TBH Geoff I don't give a monkey's, if he provided the info I'd give him an idea on price. I find these exercises interesting, especially other people's take on it.
  13. You're going to have to be more specific, what's happening to the arisings? What's underneath? Etc. How long is a piece of string?
  14. I am not sure that contacting his insurance company and spilling the beans is a good idea.
  15. I cannot believe we are going to dive back in to another debacle.
  16. Won't carry diddly. Forget about it, handy if you're an ornamental stonemason, (placing gravestones) otherwise pointless.
  17. Well at least they got caught. 200 community service equates to 5x40 hrs weeks of unpaid work, assuming they complete it and don't get a transfer to Juventus like Tevez! I don't think it's a trifling punishment. obviously as a victim of plant theft myself years ago I would rather they did 5 years in a Peruvian prison but it is at least punishment.
  18. I think (repeat think!) by French pollard they are referring to a way of allowing side ways growth, usually with Planes, and cutting the shoots that grow upwards back to the horizontal to maximize the shade. Might be wrong though:001_smile:
  19. All I can say is that the Rayco is a good reliable productive machine, I've a 1625 and would have no hesitation in recommending it or trading up to a bigger Rayco.
  20. You can be certain that they would be doing porridge over here.
  21. Yes they are cheaper and do they same quality job, and for small tree works and grass cutting etc I would probably go for the bloke in the saloon car and trailer if I was Joe Public. (VAT would be a factor as well) I've been there and am not going to sneer at others in the same boat.
  22. So free wood and venison! Tough life.
  23. Indeed:001_smile:
  24. You're right, if it was delivered to you I'd take it, if you have to get it, forget it.
