  1. Eat when you're hungry.
  2. I broadly agree, just one point, did you mean "they're arboreal guests" meaning we are guests of the tree or "their arboreal guests" meaning the trees are guests of people. I am guessing the second (damn autocorrect) but I want to be sure!
  3. I see this has turned into the usual "we are undervalued, clients are stupid for wanting the cheapest price" thread, yawn. My favourites line so far "apologise to the client on behalf of the industry":lol:
  4. Yeah, that's a classic! I'll watch that again in the morning.
  5. fair enough, know what you mean.
  6. Well yes, quite, but if you are going to have a thread documenting practically every days work to countless other trees surgeons you will get some other opinion on how they might have done it. No harm in that. (I'd have climbed it and put two more blokes on the deck btw)
  7. A Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. Agreed, more skid steer, less punky trees please . Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. I thought these chippers went abroad.
  10. It all depends on the size of the machine.
  11. Nice tidy up! No need for the gym after swinging that around all afternoon.
  12. So therein lies the rub, you competitor gambled on a day. Ps you didn't say what machine you use!
  13. Great looking machine, quick across the ground as well. I used a mini digger recently to pull a row of cedars over and was pleasantly surprised at the pull you get with tracks. Good vid.
  14. Ok fair enough, but out of interest how long would it have taken you and what machine?
  15. "Build it and they will come" so to speak, Good luck!!
  16. New truck, new chipper, new saws, new everything, did you win the lotto?
  17. Agreed, I get a little miffed when posters always assume that only they have the experience/equipment to do the job, and that any one who undercuts them is a useless idiot. the fact is that those little jobs can be done by a bloke and a trailer and a B&Q saw just as effectively as a team with a PTO chipper and mog, might take a little longer but gets down nevertheless.
  18. I have had a Nissan terrano:not up to the job. Non turbo Hilux: brilliant but dated and gutless by todays standards. Turbo Hilux, brilliant. Nissan Navarra. brilliant Land Rover; awful just bloody awful! Ford Ranger;Brilliant, not too glamourous but cheap and willing.(Same as Mazda but different badge)
  19. Unless you can find an osprey's nest up there I reckon you'll have some more Neighbours soon.
  20. I reckon that you've got a point. All you really need is a 200/201,husky 560xp and the 660 (for tree surgery anyway)if they are sharp and running right they're the ones to reach for.
  21. There has been discussions about these before, the thing that put me off would be nose weight.
  22. To go behind what sort of vehicle?
  23. Cannabis. Marajuana.mary Jane etc Edit. Mary-Jane is cannabis, not my hangover cure
  24. Paracetemol, aspirin, ibuprofen, gotta go chemical, then man it out till the next time.
