  2. Gentle jog! No frickin' way! What do they earn?
  3. How about, this,"Remember that big building you went to between the ages of 5 and 16? Well you didn't work hard enough there, so here's where your ex teachers get a good laugh at you!"
  4. Well that doesn't look like a deal breaker tbh.( the bent av spring I mean)
  5. I'll probably get one next, but I have had around 6 020s 200ts and now a 201, I can honestly say I do drag em around and drop them on the strop, I have never had one come off. It just shouldn't happen.
  6. Client gave me this old timer, 40 years minimum, almost certainly a Husky. Any ideas? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. This is getting gayer by the minute!
  8. Honestly, can you keep the Brokeback Mountain stuff to yourselves?
  9. It's a few old boards! Did he say to you "someday, and that day may never come, The Godfather may come to you.......
  10. Plus 1 I have the stihl and am underwhelmed to say the least. Handy bit of kit though.
  11. I don't know why people are on the OPs case for wanting a chainsaw. Just about every gardener has a mid range saw rattling round in his van. My advice to him is get an Echo and spent the rest on something else. (Blower?)
  12. Not certain that bs 3998 carries a lot of weight in Girona but good advice nevertheless:001_smile:
  13. Look, I know it's obvious, but I don't know you're mechanical ability, have you checked the battery and tried to jump it?
  14. Just re pollard. It's why they were planted there in the first place.
  15. :dancing:I hope you two can work it out.
  16. It would seem to me that if you're running a saw around the base of a tree you might as well fell it while you're there. If you've ringed up a oak which has lain for years you'll see it's still as wet inside as the day it fell over.
  17. Well on behalf of all mink can I say Ha ha ha ha ha ( they tasted nice, thank you!)

    what 4x4

I spent less buying a decent Ranger (2400 quid) than I spent in 2 years keeping a 130 LR on the road,. 1 year later the ranger runs and pulls like a dream ( apart from a starter motor if I'm honest, no biggy though) my advice, go Japanese.
  20. I guess you're concentrating hard that's what's knocking you out. I remember when I was learning to climb and in the early days of working I was shattered because often you have to go back to places in the tree to redo stuff. I've known some big ole boys who were good climbers and some athletic sorts who weren't up to much. Technique and planning that's the key.
  21. Whilst the thread is good perhaps you could elaborate a bit! Why was it hard? It's written in a "Hemingway" style rather like The Old man and the Sea. Maybe that was you intention? C'mon! Flower it up a bit! Pics maybe?
