any ideas on how to reset a computer on a piece of equiptment? how long does it typically take for a computer to reset on its own? does anyone know how to reset a computer on a vermeer SC50TX?

I have a 2002 Vermeer SC50tx with a 3024 cat 50hp engine. I turn the key in the on position, computer and display light up as they are suppose to, but in less than 5 seconds, makes a clicking sound like the circuit breaker tripped and all power and lights are lost. Leave the key in the on position and in exactly 15 seconds, it lights up again for a second or two and then trips again. Starting is not an option.
