  1. Ok....I always love a good pic of a tax disc and the mileage.
  2. Thanks, suspected that was it, personally I couldn't wear all round either climbing or on the ground, they're just too unpleasant.
  3. What's the difference between type c and the rest?
  4. Ok I'm all for minimum kit. : like you say all personal preference, even in nearly a decade since I left I've noticed the light reduction/tickle (what we use to call 10% reduction) has gone from a rarity to a oft used spec. For the record I think it's total BS, I asked my local TO once what 10% actually meant, he said it meant we don't want you to do anything! to me that's what light reductions/silky tickles are....nothing.
  5. Found a toad in my boot this morning, they always looked slightly miffed and indignant.
  6. Hate day rate, you end up cleaning leaves out their gutters.
  7. Ok so working on the assumption we are having a pointless argument:001_smile: Fueling; is that really an issue? Noise; Keeps Old people from wandering around Under the tree. Sawdust? If your ringing up a butt on the ground yeah, but up a tree.... Weight; A 150 or similar on your belt is really not the difference between a hard day and an easy one. Untangling your saw. There you may have a point. Do you not attach the Silky to a thin line in case you drop it?
  8. Yes I've been asked, and have had to put the brakes on my own jobs. I usually just string out the teabreaks.
  9. Alright here's another idea, forget all refresher courses, get your first quals when you train as a greenhorn then get on with the job, if you cut your leg off it's your problem.
  10. The thumb is brillant at loading wood onto a truck loose, it would not be as good as a rotator for real forestry, mine lifts 350kg perhaps more;
  11. Fair enough, the thread is too long to go through. Apologies
  12. Well obviously I'm in France so none of it will apply to me. But yes in the UK I only sought domestic work because you got your cheque on the day and weren't left waiting for 90 or 120 days.
  13. Domestic clients aren't going to give a monkey's.
  14. Does that mean yanking off two blokes simultaneously? Or do you mean skiing as in on snow?
  15. What's wrong with a little Echo or (god forbid!) a 150 on the pointless TPO driven "light reductions"
  16. I give up!!!!!!!!please be right this time!
  17. Since putting the thumb on it I won't use it for digging, only tree work.
  18. I've said it before, but....why use a handsaw when there are so many brilliant top handles about, it remains a mystery to me.
  19. Got a Tb016, on 2000 hrs love it! Don't have much experience of diggers but I like mine.
