It's a long shot, but does anyone on here have a tipper or a dropside (non tipping) body for a 3.5t for sale? Got a single cab Renault Master with a rotten tipper box. I'm sure a Transit or whatever one could be made to fit? I'm not too fussed if it tips or not Could do a deal with the old tipper ram, pump etc (works fine) if you were doing a conversion

You are more likely to have bother when filling up at a supermarket. Some people believe that petrol from a supermarket isn't quite as good (doesn't have as many additives?). Either way, I don't buy petrol from a supermarket. -

It's not ideal due to the thickness, but planning on building another log shed this year, and will try cladding in used scaffold boards as seem to have a good source for them

For material, it would be whatever you can get locally for a good price, which for me would be 2nd grade larch boards 150x22, though the size can vary by a few mm each way

Never bought it, but I'm sure the local timber suppliers do a phenolic plywood for about £25-£30, 8x4 sheets though

It would be one thing to smash up the bosses car or whatever, but to try and demolish part of building with lads working inside, and take away their wage, is something else.

In one of the videos he goes straight over a pile of joiner's power tools, they will be sub contractors, no tools = no work for them. Also a lot of other guys might now lose pay as their section of work won't have been "signed off". Not to mention the fact he was trying to demolish the supporting pillars, with people inside the building

If you get really stuck there is a fantastic sawmill at Strathpeffer, that will be near your 100 miles away. There's also a guy at Dalcross that sometimes advertises on gumtree (never dealt with him) Both do larch.

Most of the cheap Chinese engines say a 25:1 mix, but on a good quality oil 50:1 is fine.

Another option is chipping into tonne bags, and maybe moving them with a cart like this : https://www.tcfengineering.co.uk/brash-cart.html Or using the tall skinny barrow bags (similar size to a wheelie bin) and moving with a sack barrow.

When's retirement age? I know self employed guys in their 70s/80s. One guy is 90 this spring and still working.

I would've thought the ideal machine for moving timber and general small holding duties would be a smaller tractor with a front loader

Ps don't want to sound like a snitch as it's none of my business, there's someone I've seen advertising hardwood logs on gumtree. I split the wood for him, and there was a lot of softwood in the pile! Now I like a mix of hard and soft, but you'd hope to get what has been advertised.

For some reason, people would rather buy "seasoned" wood from a bloke with an advert on gumtree/facebook, then moan about the fact it is soaking wet, then do the same again next year?

No doubt it had one when new, but there was nothing left. I've wired it up to the ignition live feed, with a switch by the dozer blade lever.

Finally got round to fitting a led worklight to the Kubota k008 - the hardest part is finding somewhere to put the switch where it won't get knocked (and running the cable) as it's so tight on space Also making good use of the digbits thumb on rough woodchip
