    Centrewire gates

Would the IAE gates not be any use? https://iae.co.uk/product-agriculture/5-rail-bridle-gate/
  2. Slowly doing up a house here, found a good website for paint and decorating supplies, https://www.trade1st.co.uk/ good prices, service, easy to use site, and no issues with delivering to the Highlands. Some of the suppliers who advertise on arbtalk could learn a thing or two
  3. Cheers, mine is similar year, it's the same colour scheme, about 3800 hours on it (if the clock is genuine).
  4. I'm a nosey git, stick up some photos of the k008 (I have one too)
  5. I've got a fair bit of painting to do this summer, so I bought an old trailer mounted cherry picker, cost less than that alloy scaffold tower. Admittedly it was off a mate, so you may/may not find a similar machine. And it won't go everywhere a tower would. But for me it will get a good bit of use
  6. Unfortunately not galvanised, but I've got a steel tower from Quickfit Scaffold Towers, they make them at their place in Shipley near Bradford. They're a good company to deal with, and over the years I have added more parts to it, extra frames, wheels, outriggers. And last year a set of half size frames, to make a rectangle pair of towers to go up a narrow gap.
  7. Basically the woman wanted them to do extra work, and she wasn't even paying them for the job, or had the authority to let them cut the extra trees?
  8. This is why it can get messy working at a rented house, tenant wants one thing, landlord wants (or wants to pay for!) something else.
  9. Hi folks, I'm after people's opinions/advantages/disadvantages on whether a harness should be worn (and if so, what type) when using a small towable cherry picker. Not sure on max height, but it will roughly reach up to the roof of a 1.5/2 storey house, which is the height you'd go up on a ladder anyway. This is not in a work setting, and there might not be a 2nd person nearby to rescue in the event of things hitting the fan. If a harness is to be worn, is a normal builders/scaffolding one suitable (leaves you hanging by your back) And should it be a fall arrest or restraint (fixed strop)?
  10. Whats your location, got a motor/tank/ram here
  11. I've always thought, what Northern Ireland needs is a referendum, to sort it out once and for all
  12. Have you tried looking them up online? If you want help pm me, I'm a good stalker
  13. 2 kittens curled up in the firewood (don't know why they didn't just go in the cat flap!)
  14. You wouldn't want to do this commercially, but its ok for filling a barrow for home
  15. First time I've seen this, backpack strimmer meets polesaw meets easy lift harness https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5zxZUR8Kj8
  16. I'm not a fruit tree expert, but I've been very slowly building up my knowledge using this book, would recommend it https://www.amazon.co.uk/Fruit-Tree-Handbook-Ben-Pike/dp/1900322749
  17. Probably done through the OBD port, this is a weak point, is best to secure or immobilise the socket in some way.
  18. You have to remember there can be quite a time difference between cutting/splitting big logs for a boiler stove, and doing the old 'granny logs' (at best the size of a house brick)
  19. What a difference a day makes, was working in falling snow yesterday, and today slightly sun burnt!
  20. Build a cabin on a jetty half on half off the pond, put a solar panel on the roof, a few old 12v batteries in the cabin, hidden under the seating, next to the mini bar, then run some cheap 12v dc lights from that, on a timer or lux sensor to keep it lazy, then relax on the decking, as the midges devour you
  21. Go to mention this, Brake calliper rewind tool. Set comes with l/h and r/h winders, and loads of adaptor plates to fit various brakes. Seems sturdy enough for diy use. Couldn't believe the price though - £13.99 inc delivery from ebay
  22. You could even have a solar panel charging a 12v system for a couple of lights/chargers
  23. The giveaway with the woodmizer is the photos, Skye doesn't look like that!!
  24. The foam tyres are good but the bearings are rubbish, they don't last long on a sack truck with heavy use. You can get replacement bearings for a couple quid but they don't last any longer. The good wheels are the magliner ones, but you need deep pockets.
