    Saw this today

You should have told him you can buy additional frames for those scaffold towers
  2. Unless you modifed it, it does vertical splitting at ground level - a lot of bending down!
  3. I got a basic stainless steel 1l flask from tesco for about £4 Seems very simmillar to the thermos branded s/s 1l, which costs many times the price, just doesn't have the fancy flip up "tap" thing in the lid And have a ghille kettle which is a nice toy, can't beat a fire Also got a microwave fitted in the van running off an inverter
  4. Another option could be caged trolleys like the stuff gets delivered to supermarkets in. You can't stack them but you can wheel them about by hand on contrete/tarmac
  5. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVt3Mdasyfg]YouTube - FERGUSONS FIREWOOD PROCESSOR[/ame]
  6. I got one of those army style water bottles ('canteen'), comes with a holster so you can keep it on your belt, so you're never far from a drink
  7. All you need for the firewood is a chainsaw and a decent enough splitter (and a means of delivery!) Sounds like the local forest group
  8. You don't even say which part of the country you're from
  9. You could make £50/day out on the hills planting trees, no experience or tools required and you'd probably get a lift to site! But if you're happy with what you get paid and your job then thats what matters. If you're not, you need to ask for more or find a new employer £30-£40 a day after you take off your costs is better than being sat on your arse earning nothing
  10. Here, there's a company near forfar that claim to make their briquettes on site, 20kg bag for £5
  11. Looks like a townie in fancy dress
  12. I've got a set of the dickies winter overalls Wrong time of the year to be needing them though?
  13. Billing Aquadrome is a "holiday park" : campsite/caravans/statics/ponds etc
  14. :001_huh: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKDOAjlKBWo]YouTube - Horse beating pikey makes my day[/ame]
  15. Stick a rope on and drag the car to the next layby or the service area a mile down the road
  16. You could try Tough Packaging - http://www.bagsonline.co.uk/ They do carriers, and clear plastic bags etc
  17. Bit more info on this page Safety at street works and road works (and loads more pages on that site!)
  18. Are you looking for anyone in the Highlands? I notice one of the local forests has a new Fountains sign up
  19. Fluorescent yellow is pointless as once it gets slightly dirty it turns greenish, which funnily enough is the same colour as the trees/grass! I dont get why the forestry commission etc like wearing yellow vests whilst working out in the woods. They would probably be more visible wearing a black T shirt! Maybe they use it as a form of camoflage?
  20. You can also get hazzard bunting for about a tenner for a roll It's like an orange plasticy cord (simmilar to washing line!) with little red and white plastic bits hanging off. Often used to mark overheard wires on building sites etc. If you had somehting to wrap it up on after use it could be stored quite neatly
  21. Doesn't seem very cheap, thats about £350 worth in the photo at the top Can you not use blue polyprop rope between cones like on roadworks Or plastic red and white planks with rope fed through inside, supported by cones (bulky to store though)
  22. Do you have any small local T shirt printers? Often these places will let you supply your own clothes, with them charging a couple pound per item for printing/embroidery So you can go and pick the workwear you prefer and take it to them
  23. Yes it's a scam, have heard it mentioned loads of times on various forums They called me once saying I had signed up to something or the other, I just told them I knew it was a scam and hung up
  24. When is someone going to start making chainsaw shorts, it seems a waste buy a new pair of trousers just to cut the bottoms off
