  1. Bet that smells nice
  2. And taking off a far better OEM cylinder.......
  3. I have used them many years ago and they are sort of OK. With a 346, I would use a Meteor as they have good circlips, proper cast rings by Caber and their machining is excellent. Husky top ends are ridiculously expensive so would fit a quality replacement piston. For some reason, the Meteor top ends I have had in recently have had pretty poor port shaping and believe they come from elsewhere but the pistons have always been 100%
  4. Better rename this thread "Grumpy Old Men"......what a life when hot taps bear a warning that the water may be HOT
  5. I have seen a large number of aftermarket chain brake bands being supplied without the dowel bar that stops the band pulling through the casing when applied. I have even seen one fitted without a dowel bar being fitted. A retaining dowel must ALWAYS be fitted. THESE BANDS SHOULD ALWAYS BE FITTED WITH THE ROUND DOWEL FITTED, FAILURE TO DO SO MAY CAUSE THE BAND TO BE DRAWN THROUGH THE RETAINING AREA OF THE CASING IT IS FITTED IN!!!!! I don't like this cheapening up of a safety device and would think many may fit the part without recognizing the function of the little dowel rod retainer....be warned, keep safe!
  6. We have GM Growers just up the road, great for all sorts of animal feed, garden stuff and do some fantastic fruit and carrot cake! Some strange lines from frozen fish to pickled eggs to saddle soap but they are always busy!
  7. The screw on the coil is straight in to plastic - you can try fitting a bigger screw but as long as the coil isn't shifting, it may be OK. No Loctite needed on cylinder screws. The idling problem almost sounds like the saws carb is significantly worn. My advice is to set the carb at one turn out on the H&L screw and then set the idle speed. If this still dies, unwind the L screw 1/8th - 1/4 turn out and increase the idle to suit and if this doesn't sort it, the carb or saw has other issues.
  8. Whindham, not sure how else you would say it....what about Happisburgh!
  9. In life there are cocks of various sizes, the shorter cocks are usually the biggest cocks. Some live in big houses and some go round pinching "Village Hall" signs but they are all cocks and I for one will be happy to see the day they enter the depths of hell and have a red hot poker inserted up their large arses!
  10. Anything from 1 day to two months. It all depends on where the stock is and if there is no stock, when the next production run is to make it! If your usual dealer doesn't have it on stock, they will go to perhaps, a national distributor and if they don't have it, back to the factory or distributors in other countries. Some of it does depend on how efficiently your local dealer are on chasing through orders and fulfilling them!
  11. "buttrigging" - is that like .......underpants?
  12. Organised chaos in the supply chain
  13. Looks more like a stand rather than a dish but can see that the design will stop the soap going mushy on the bottom. I am sure someone on here will make you one
  14. Make sure the gap is set with a typical business card and yank it harder as the vicar said to the actress
  15. Huh
  16. Got enough challenges with my customers saws! I do wonder what would happen if you did get one of these saws and do the works on it but haven't got the time and really can't be bothered as I have better things to do! Hope your saws are behaving now?
  17. Personally I would look at buying something like a Stihl MS260 in relatively decent shape. They are pretty robust and spares are also easy to find and lots of aftermarket kit if you need to keep the costs down. You liked the MS362, why go down several levels and realise that you have made a mistake when you find the Efco a bit "Home owner" rather than pro arb!
  18. Feck off......with the greatest of disrespect!
  19. Never seen long noise and rounded noise pliers, all my pliers have noses
  20. There is a flanged bush 537 20 28-01 that fits on the crankcase, this gets put in place, the chain brake handle spigot is placed in or near the hole it needs to fit in to above the recoil cover side, the chain brake handle hole that fits on the flanged bush is placed over it, the sprung bar 505 20 12-01 is pushed back with a small screw driver as the handle is pushed in to place. It is relatively easy and simple task.....the bolt 526 83 45-01 is then put back in the hole and done up so it meets the flanged bush however you cant see it mating! http://www.hsqintec.sk/vykres/t540xp-mot.-pila.pdf
  21. So it needs new clutch springs to get over the chain running at idle and 026/MS260s suffer with the piston skirts wearing. Fit a decent piston and new springs, worth checking the plating especially if it has an earlier wire mesh air filter but seems like and easy refurb to me!
  22. Been working on this MS880, it has been seized and has some mighty strange damage to the top front edge of the piston crown. It almost looks like pre-ignition or a porous casting. The bore cleaned up nicely, Meteor piston arrived today and am porting it - will check the flywheel key and set the mix a bit lower just to make sure as it looked like the top end was nearly new - another fine repair by others!
  23. Ah, who said you couldn't kill two birds with one stone Glad all is good again.
  24. Feed them through the chipper! Burger anyone?
  25. I don't do the Apple thing but am sure this is useful to those that do. I am running a Moto E4 Plus and get between 5-7 days per charge.....I find this Orgasmic TBH.
