  1. Sounds like you need a crossbow in the tree with you. Hiding keys/wallets in wheel arches and cross members is common but not sensible.
  2. Sweden has local run courses but mixing with locals and not talking in English helps.
  3. A glow in the dark version would be useful.
  4. There is some tech spec on the website. Igland AS
  5. Never heard of a diesel engine chainsaw?
  6. I have been asked once in 20+ years work for tickets from the FC and never from the public and insurance. Like a driving licence having tickets means you are safe for the basics and experience gives you the skills knowledge.
  7. Payments on a tonage rate is fine in good woods but in nightmare site these times a serious problem. Out of interest I know some good cutters what are the rates and how soon do you weight the timber from felling?
  8. That would be nice as the Stanley one I had from Machine Mart broke this morning.
  9. It is strange walking across the sea when frozen in southern Norge. Have you checked the hand brake is not stuck on?
  10. Have you seen the current road tax on Land Rovers:001_rolleyes: and fuel usage at £1.40 a litre.
  11. I am surprised that whales are not winched out to sea with a tug and left for the sharks and sea bugs to munch on. The video with TNT and the smashed vehicle was 24hrs before the main earthquake in NZ a large amount of pilot whales beached themselves as did various species before the Boxing Day Tsunami.
  12. HMRC are now considering a response on the legal request to reduce fuel tax/duties to that of "Red" diesel. Here's hoping for a result.
  13. I am told that the RHD diesel version of the SJ might be available soon. (Waiting for this to be confirmed and the prices)
  14. Looks like this will be up for auction in the 1st week of April unless sold before then.
  15. In Sweden horses are often used in public areas to mow grass with towed cylinder mowers due to cost savings compared to engine driven machines.
  16. There are some with a tunnel view and road on a side of a large building. Motorists have tried to drive into them:001_rolleyes:
  17. The tree as it will be there long after the client has vanished.
  18. There is a mobile person that does work for A C Price.
  19. Useful if it will run with 50% moisture content as on the link. Free woodchips from tree services. There is a German stove which also gives hot water and runs both on logs and woodchips which needs filling once a week.
  20. Nice and fresh. yr.no ? Været for Norge og verden fra Meteorologisk institutt og NRK Use the search box. It covers worldwide!
  21. Worth a google search both on words and images before decisions. The chinese often produce copies of products so make the idea is protected worldwide.
  22. A brain and a tow hitch with lighting socket.
  23. The first step I took into being "Self Employed" from farming was a huge beech tree that had blown over due to the council mending the highway and damaging the tree roots. (National Trust site) No current firms would touch the work and I did it for the wood which I made into products and firewood:001_rolleyes: Had more paid work following this and continues now. (This was before the chain brake)
  24. The problem is the firms who have worked hard to build a base up have to compete with the cash in hand and flytip waste on illegal sites people:thumbdown: In addition as the downturn bites more places are providing courses in tree work without thinking where the folks will be employed full time when leaving. How many firms have a wife/girlfriend/ work outside with them earning an income these times? Not common I am sure.
