  9. whatever you do don't put a hard facing rod near a quick hitch they are in no way suitable for this use something like a 8018 or 7018 rod or if you use mig a wire with an aws code like 5.19 if you can use flux core wire try and get nittetsu 5.29 this is very good for these type of repairs I've done quite a few liebherr and geith and miller hitches with these materials if you don't want to go to the expense of line boring the hook just use a rotary grinder with something like a 40mm stone and finish it off with a flap wheel remember and chamfer the edges to stop cracks starting

  23. it can't be that its cutting out when the revs fall
  24. had our old faithful 880 out to drop some pops today filled it with fuel as we always run it out as it doesn't see that much use fired it up no problem it will sit and run at high idle as soon as you let the throttle off it dies out I am thinking at this point choked jet in carb so gets back to the workshop strips off carb give it all a clean off and strip it and pop it in the ultrasonic for 1/2 hr gave it all a blow off and rebuilt it put it on and its still the same on this carb there is anti tamper screws so there is little adjustment in it for fault finding so with the anti tamper locks on it where should the settings be or do I remove them also what should the idle and max revs be or do I just fire a new carb on it any advice appreciated guys cheers
  25. have a look at the adjustment on the linkage if it has any for a start I presume it doesn't have pilot controls make sure that the spools are getting full stroke both ways
