  1. it can't be that its cutting out when the revs fall
  2. had our old faithful 880 out to drop some pops today filled it with fuel as we always run it out as it doesn't see that much use fired it up no problem it will sit and run at high idle as soon as you let the throttle off it dies out I am thinking at this point choked jet in carb so gets back to the workshop strips off carb give it all a clean off and strip it and pop it in the ultrasonic for 1/2 hr gave it all a blow off and rebuilt it put it on and its still the same on this carb there is anti tamper screws so there is little adjustment in it for fault finding so with the anti tamper locks on it where should the settings be or do I remove them also what should the idle and max revs be or do I just fire a new carb on it any advice appreciated guys cheers
  3. have a look at the adjustment on the linkage if it has any for a start I presume it doesn't have pilot controls make sure that the spools are getting full stroke both ways
  4. the petrol one is fast I think its too fast at full throttle how did you change yours to single hand operation pictures please
  5. tcp seem to be the ones to go for if your wanting to do a conversion when we looked at them they were among the few that were fully hydraulic most were hydrostatic and no use i.e Honda and various other Chinese clones
  6. how was the hydraulic pto done was it a diverter valve that just brings in the flow from all the pumps does this machine have a 2 or 3 section hyd pump looks a good job, slot in extensions for the table would be ideal for this
  7. is the Honda engine on 50 hr intervals as well
  8. ours was as flat as a fart to start with a few tanks of petrol and it'll be as right as rain they are good bits of kit if you don't like it send it up here and I will give you £20
  9. long ramps and it will go pretty easy 1 person its a bit of a handful on anything other than flat ground
  10. The first day that we had ours I had it on its ribs 5 times 1 of those times it was a mine shaft that was covered with a sheet of ply

I've got the Thor magic 13ton petrol powered version and I am pretty impressed with it very fast splitter I find if you run it at full throttle its too fast its quite a complicated design on the valve block and controls but it works very well if you do buy it get somebody to make up the extension table as its £500 quid on its own

  13. blue ribands are the worst polystyrene with photocopied chocolate yuk
  14. if it does go Pete tong they are a pleasure to strip and chip and the firewoods usually pretty good
  15. depends what your definition of seasoned is it could have lay a year in 3ft of water
  16. usually 25.4 buy a loncin 16hp they are a direct replacement for the gx390 and 1/3 of the price
  17. washing powder or tfr should work then jetwash
  18. aah buckfast the choice drink for bigoted knuckle dragging bellends
  19. don't be so hungry for cash either turn down work or employ somebody with half a brain to not wreck your gear good luck
  20. 66 degrees is well within safe working limits
  21. i sense he was less than happy with the constructive mocking/criticism he got
