  1. Whereabouts are you based?Maybe someone on here could lend you a diamond sharpening disc? Just touched up a dozen teeth for tomorrow’s grinding job while it’s been tipping down all day here ☹️
  2. Tulips now in full bloom under the damson, plum, pear and apple trees I planted about 8 years ago
  3. Garlic coming up in pots, onion sets, spring onions, spuds, radish, carrots, leeks, broad beans, french dwarf beans green and yellow and runners all in but covered in case of late frosts. will stagger some more planting of each 10-14 days apart so not all ready at once. still got lettuce, beetroot and cucumber to do this week Rhubarb doing well but a bit slow this year, raspberry’s and blackberry’s all coming along too
  4. Oh it’ll catch on alright ..... every sodding little branch in every tight canopy will catch on that cable!!!!
  5. I have a 360sw which has paid for itself several times over in the five years I’ve had it. Also considering a 460sw and that sounds like a reasonable price. the weak points in the 360 are the brake arrangement is very poor and I always carry spare cables as they have a habit of snapping. I would check to see if the 460 has a better system? the exhaust has shaken itself to bits a couple of times and I put an inline fuel filter in to stop carb problems. Also it won’t run on supermarket fuel - BP, Shell , Texaco etc only. Don’t know why but it’s happened too much to be a coincidence oh yes, kohler engine, not honda as it can incline further before the oil level cut out switch engages
  6. If you could share the link we can all report it - strength in numbers
  7. All this lovely food and no exercise we’ll all have put on a couple of stone by the time we start working again ?
  8. Was meant to be seeing him tomorrow night so may well check that out ?

    8 Ton

Are they not that “popular” then? ?
  10. Been slow on iPhone on WiFi and 4g, not tried pc
  11. Mine done last week and got first 5 customers booked for Tuesday
  12. And they still had a typo in the article!
  13. The only SIA I’d heard of is the Security Industry Authority
  14. The do as you likeys are back on dukes park industrial estate again less than 1 1/2 miles away from there so would advise anyone in the area to be extra vigilant
  15. Not a one liner, but had text - how much for a 30ft tree? me - what type of tree and what would you like done to it? red berries kind of tree, taken down me - sounds like rowan or holly, depends on access, distance to drag etc access is good Me - Id better come and have a look access was not good, squeezed between shed and fence but easy couple of hours - was a rowan. quoted but can’t do it for 4 weeks other quote was double mine with 30% off for cash if we do it today (caravan club I guessed) they waited and we did it 3 weeks later ?
  16. Rhinos on the leading tips, multitips on the recessed tips. multis clear the debris away better, rhinos cut better when new/resharpened
  17. Our local waste transfer station is £114 for up to 1000kg of timber which is a lot of panels from normal domestic type of fencing. Timber posts can have the rotten bits cut off and the decent timber put onto freecycle, freegle or similar- someone will usually want to collect to re use them. i put a separate amount on quotes for waste disposal ie 6 bays would be £50 - £80 of straightforward replacement. 4-5 jobs is a truckload so costs/time are covered. customers seem to appreciate knowing waste is disposed of correctly. Soil/hardcore go elsewhere as cheaper
  18. 4.75
  19. Yes definitely time for a radical rethink - far too much smoke and various crap going into the atmosphere for several weeks around guy fawkes then NYE as well. Also change would be highly resisted, but how many tons of co2 and 1000 different chemicals are emitted from cigarettes? Each one may not seem like much, but how many millions are burnt every single day?
  20. What’s your location/area? Any one nearby got a cordless grinder or bolt croppers?
  21. Similar to Silverhooker, small scale as a two man band so maybe 15 to 20 cube a year. Sold out of seasoned hardwood completely, about 5 cube of soft wood left most of which will go out as nets or burn myself. Next years stock is drying nicely in new purpose built sheds
  22. Depending whether it’s 2.4m or 3m centres, cant or arris rails, 6” gravel boards, 4” posts, with or without postsaver wraps, roughly 5,500 to 6,500. disposal of soil is extra, probably couple of tons so whatever you need to pay for that plus transport or a skip
  23. Pictures will help?
  24. Sold mine on the boot sale - absolute shite! Local dealer returned all their stock to manufacturer.
  25. Lovely cheers for that!
