  1. One of my customers paid 180 for a cube of silver birch delivered and stacked while I was cutting her hedges. Her next load came from me at 75 for a heaped big builders bag so about .8m roughly of 90% mixed oak, cherry, syc, ash etc with a few softwood mixed in to get it going. Next order already in 👍
  2. Works fine on iPhone 👍
  3. First time ever the second crop of figs have been picked - usually dropped off with the first frosts by this time of year
  4. Morning everyone 😁 dry and bright for a change here - just pricing three today and will split a few barrow loads of logs for our use, maybe give the grass its last cut of the year
  5. Tirfor - pull left to right (as photo) then no danger of saw pinching or need to climb
  6. Morning all - wet here so sacked off big conifer reduction till tomorrow. So far behind schedule that another day won’t make much difference
  7. Sudden impact
  8. Morning all - chucking it down here in Essex again ☹️ got to finish some Eco plugging later but that’s it till Monday 👍
  9. Had mine for two weeks now and so far so good. Slightly under powered so need to work the gears but I kind of expected that after my 3L daily. seems to carry the weight ok, bit wallowy but I may put beefier springs on. Steering is very light and it’s easy to spin the wheels. Doesn’t like the muddy area at my tip site so will be a bit careful there. Comfortable to drive, almost car like, good turning circle 👍
  10. I didn’t think kid’s would know what to do with conkers nowadays? health and safety means they’d all need to wear goggles, gloves, complete a full risk assessment etc!
  11. 😂😂
  12. Add yourself to the tip site. Location will also help 👍
  13. Post up some pics - I’m sure there will be someone on here not far from you or will know someone reputable 👍
  14. Damp from dew but looks like it will be dry all day. Large beech removal so calm and not raining will be perfect 👍
  15. This should probably have gone in the jokes section, but seemed topical! Drove past yours last night mate - everything ok? 😂 0ffd4fb9-2bc4-42f1-bb3d-e20587e93bee.mp4
  16. How long has it been down? What species? Where in the country are you? Can it be stacked with maximum airflow and possibly catching the last of the warm days sun?
  17. Battery saw and/or wait till she’s out for the day 👍
  18. Morning all - wet as an otters pocket here so going for a delayed start. Hope we get done before dark ☹️
  19. It
  20. Exactly same here - next two days are written off but have a few bags of logs to deliver so will get them loaded undercover and ready to go 👍
  21. Yeah I’m surprised too - keeping my regular and annual customers on their normal schedule and explaining to new ones when I quote and has worked so far. Normally 6-8 weeks lead time. Doing three Saturdays out of four trying to keep up but it’s coming in quicker than we can clear it. Got three jobs of a week each and several 2-3 dayers came in within the last three Sundays quoting. May need to raise prices a bit more 😁
  22. Busiest I’ve ever been in over 30 years - booked pretty solid right through to the end of March. 95% small to medium domestic work. Put some in at higher prices and still got them. lost some as they wanted them done “next week”

    No wood🙁

Only a month! Some people have waited over a year, some have had a drop off within a week. Have you read all the tips to make your site more attractive than others? whereabouts are you? it’s mainly aimed at those working outside their usual area, saving them a trip back to base to tip off. might be worth contacting some local firms asking if they’re passing you, would they like to tip at yours, or go out walking, cycling listening for the sound of chainsaws or chipper then having a chat with the team. Logs are in much higher demand now with the cost of living currently- I have even had guys pay me to take my logs away from sites on occasion. Wish you the best of luck!
  24. Thanks guys - will book a slot to have a look at this one if it’s not been sold yet 👍
  25. Anyone here have experience or opinions on using a Movano, front wheel drive, single rear wheels tipper for arb please? looking at options to replace my aging Daily
