  3. I want to start by saying I know nothing about trees, but I think the two in my front yard are not healthy. They have black bark almost all the way around and it is brittle and falling off. The trees still produce a lot of leaves, but I want to make sure they are healthy. Any thoughts? I think these are oak, but unsure.
