  6. How much are you willing to pay and can you arrange the transport? Would you consider taking less from one place or do you need it to be all from the same supplier
  7. Legally you should ask the council if you need a hawkers licence. Many councils will say they do not enforce this but a few do. I did this a few years ago with bags of potatoes in simular areas. Was very good!!!!!
  8. some might even do it for the ferry fare
  9. Are you planning staying over there once moved? Any room to put someone up there. Maybe someone would love a free holiday with ferry paid for! Save you coming back too!

  13. allowing a woodburner to smoulder alll night is not the best idea as it allows pitch and tar etc to condense in the chimney. If you are only wanting it to stay alight to save lighting up in the morning try covering the last few embers with the woodash at night. Rake out in the morning and you will usually find glowing embers once the air gets to them again
  14. I could do with a couple of loads like that
  15. It is a good time for planting shrubs. Any garden centre should have plenty to choose from. Look at their height and spread and also whether she wants flowers or foliage to look at and pick the brains from the garden centre staff. They should have someone there with the knowledge you require.
  16. well done from a winner of ploughing contest working with ground too hard
  17. An Employer should make " reasonable adjustments" to the work place for a disabled worker. However if there are no other duties available and they can no longer do the work them it is lawful to dismiss them. As far as paying someone while off sick is concerned. Unless there has been a previous agreement to pay someone on sick leave then they we go on Statutory Sick Pay for up to 6 months.
