  1. As it seems to be just the one local tree officer insisting on these ridiculous procedures to be carried out is there anybody who is in a higher chain of command which you could arrange a meeting with to discuss these issues? As you have already stated arranging a site visit with a climber to carry out an aerial inspection then documenting every limb to be pruned is not only ludicrous but will end up affecting the client significantly as quotes will have to reflect the time and effort gone into getting consent.
  2. Hi there, I'm in the Bournemouth area and don't mind travelling, got my own ppe, climbing kit and a range of saws. Let me know if your interested. Nick Gardiner 07895359783
  3. Unfortunetly not as we have just moved out of our house and are stayin with my missus's gran in a rather SMALL house!
  4. Unfortunetly all my family is on the otherside and in the bournemouth area, i worked it out to be roughly 20 hours driving for them to come over then back plus the ferry then plus the loading etc, lot to ask even for family
  5. Was kinda hoping not to have to burden anyone with 2 days solid driving/loading/ unloading, but i suppose if its my only option, thanks
  6. Looking for a lwb transit/sprinter to move over from ireland to england at the start of next week! Only problem is im only 22! Seems all van hire companys dont wanna know. If anybody has any ideas or knows of business's that hire to young ens like me id appreciate it. I'd be picking up from pembroke dock and dropping it off in the penzance area although travelling to drop off isnt a problem. Any ideas appreciated!
  7. Congrats to u both, i think we are both the same age and it looks like we both have pretty simular circumstances, my little girl is 1 tomorow and it was hard at first (esp at night!) with running a business etc but you get used to it and it doent last forever! Just dont make the same mistake as me and make sure u are ready, the night my missus was in labour i was sent out to buy a cot, pram, car seat etc wasnt prepared at all and it just makes it more stressful lol. Anyway congrats again
  8. Just last week had to retire one of my 200t's with a 201t very reluctant to do so after reading a lot of threads on here, but i find it much nicer to use in the tree as mentioned before with it being ergonomically better, slightly lighter and much less vibes up the arm, due to the new spring type av mount i think. Even with a 14" bar seems to have enough guts when chogging down till its time to send up a bigger saw.
  9. €280 for a lock up no outside space which is badly needed imo.
  10. Eco tip site next to hurn airport is a handy spot, havent used them in about 5 years but it ised to be 17.99 for a 3.5 tonne truck load of chip and as said before timber is taken for free.
  11. They should provide all gear maybe not ppe but everything else should be.
  12. Evenin! Giv me a buzz when you get a minute got a new advertising option which might interest you.
