  1. Agreed! I don't know how or if people actually get away with charging that kind of money! Would never get any jobs pricing like that
  2. Looks like a hard day for two guys (hard only in the drag, tree is easy enough) charge your day rate plus a bit for the drag/ third person if helps, somewhere in the 500 region I'd go with, although pics lie so could be wrong!
  3. Fair enough if you can get a good one, problem with grinders is the by definition of what they do they have a hard life! Not sure I'd trust a used machine
  4. Wouldn't putting a bigger engine on it cause it to block? As it would take material faster than it can clear it and wouldn't slow as quickly causing more material packed into a blockage? A roller fed machine would deal with bigger engine as the anti stress would deal with it? I'd stick with 18 myself
  5. Get yourself a cordless angle grinder and diamond disc to go with it so you can touch up the teeth and get some more time out of them as they £120 a set
  6. There's one on eBay atm looks decent condition
  7. Get one, I bought one last year and it paid for itself in no time given how cheap they are. They are 29 inches wide so get through standard gates. Decent company to deal with as well, ordered mine at 11am one days and it's at the door 10:30am the next. It's not the grinder you would want full time but mines out 4-5 times a month and works well
  8. Your website isn't working, just clicked your sig to see what a £1500 website looks like and it just goes to an error page..
  9. It's a sad state of affairs but you have to assume someone's is watching and plans to rob you at any opportunity
  10. They are fu&&ers, broke into my garage over bank holiday by smashing through the roof, second time in 6 months so been targeted, lots of alarms and locks were my saviour this time though
  11. The guy just has zero personality, regardless of which party you support I think having him as the head of our country would have made us look weak. Labour lost this election the moment they elected him
  12. Could always just be the customer trying it on to see if you'll match the price, as often as not when you turn them down you get a call two weeks laters saying the other firm hasn't turned up
  13. That's a bit harsh to wish on someone chancing their luck!
  14. I got broken into last night, went in through the roof, had 3 alarm systems they stopped two of them but couldn't get to the third and my tool vault wasn't touched, just moved all of my stuff as expecting them back tonight. Layers is defiantly the way to go
  15. Had another break in last night, don't think they got anything this time but waiting to see if the police will come and fingerprint before I can check properly. If anyone knows a secure lockup in the Luton or Dunstable area pm me please as its all got to move!
  16. If you're going to repair it tie a knot encompassing the join as the two wires that take the strain won't have any strength left, it will last much longer and is barely noticeable, and lots of electrical tape to keep it dry!
  17. Hat seen on eBay deal of the day a SIM card tracker Look at this on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=311342188569 Genuine GPS Tracker Magnetic Car Vehicle Spy Mini Personal Tracking Device Has anyone had experience of these? Got to be worth a punt for £25?
  18. My dad got one recently from a customer that had it from new left in the shed, hardly used. Still has the original bar on it (marked made in west Germany!) very solid saw, personally I find it a bit sluggish in the cut, but then so was the 026/260. Wouldn't hesitate at £120 though
  19. I'm sure but if you're using this in a commercial capacity it's the last tool of the day by which time the battery would be used, also it states a full battery only gets you 13 minutes of use, poor value imo!
  20. £400 and you don't even get a battery or charger with it! Can't see you shifting too many of those blowers when a petrol one is half that and 50p of petrol and you good to go
  21. Or handles so if can be lifted onto the truck
  22. I use sip type a trousers, they wear well and also have rear calf protection
  23. It does on the 540xp, hit the throttle and the choke is off
  24. Worth checking your site in as many browsers as possible and on mobile to show up errors
  25. I think the logo needs some work, on mobile at least it's tiny
